Any ebayers can you help me please. I sold a belt on ebay and the buyer has said it doesn't fit. Printed inside the belt said 90/36 so that's how I advertised it.
I've offered for him to send it back to me but do ebay and PayPal still charge me the fees? And I presume I have to cover his postage costs too?
It was all going so well hey ho, gutted cos It sold for £26
I am not an ebayer but I am guessing you will soon get an email offering to keep it if you give them a partial refund. Seems to be the way things are going now. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

If you described it correctly, I wouldn't have offered a refund. Possibly the buyer's waist is larger than they thought?
That said, if it was correctly described you don't need to pay return postage. Ebay and Paypal should refund fees.
Agree with Enterprise, a lot of Ebay buyers are trying it on. I had one claiming not to receive until I gave the RM track number, when they suddenly went quiet.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I did my first refund a couple of weeks ago.
I had to pay £3.05 for eBay to send them a returns label. Fees were refunded apart from 20p pp transaction and both postage charges
So cost me £6.20.

A belt is measured from the start of the prong to the centre hole of the belt, which normally has 5 holes.
This is not necessarily the waist measurement though as you have to take into account clothing, so you should have measured the belt and shown photo with the tape measure.

I never thought to measure it, I just copied what was printed on the inside, I also took a photo and showed it in the listing.0 -

All fees will be refunded. If you agree to the return but there is nothing wrong with the item (apart from it doesn't fit) you don't have to refund the original postage or return postage. I'm not sure I would have agreed to the return as ebay will only side with the buyer if they have requested a return on the basis it is not as described or damagedPandora's Little Sister 30/11/17 x0
