    Morning paw sniffers:D

Anyone checked if the old PAG machine is still working?:D

I'm unsure how I'm going to do Froctober but I will embrace it in spirit as best I can.

I'm at Newcastle with work today so I have train fares to find which get reimbursed. Lunch is already prepared. Free weightwatchers bread making up an egg mayo sandwich. Fresh hens eggs too and a bottle of water. Two pears too...I got a whoopsied pack for 15p yesterday

Work will pay for my coffees:)

    Bring it on:D

    Morning TM

I probably missed how the hens settled in I am sure they are very happy with you Are the young family getting some of the fruits of your summer labour

Never realised you were from those parts MHOC. I had a few good nights in Alsager in my younger days. :D

Its not my native county, I am still Staffordshire despite having left decades ago it still feels like I am - Cheshire by adoption.

Alsager is even better now. They still have a train station. The Co-op in the middle of town went and it was replaced with a small Asda with free parking. The old Kwik save went as well but not replaced by much. There is a Costa and a Chatwins local bakery with cafe so a good mix of local shops and big names. Its still got its library and pool as part of the high school. I cant comment on the pubs!
There are a few new housing developments going up but its not an entire building site like everywhere else around here.

Notice eBay have started the 100 free listings per day again, this disappeared on my account and changed to 20 per month!
    Still the 10% fees though.

Thanks MHOC Its a four hour drive so only a wee bit further than Blackpool etc which was my first choice but we may go onto to B'ham to see relatives who lost the old auntie

On that note it is her funeral today It was postponed to accommodate pre booked holidays ours and another cousins

We have done 4 hour drives on weekends and its completly zonked us out - after the last trip I said it would have to be the train in future. But at some stage we get to try and do a weekend trip somewhere in the direction of Swindon - no idea how we are going to organise this.
When we go to see eldest child and her OH in St As its a train trip.

We have been back from hols now 5 weeks so its high time I organised something

    Good morning all

I am up for Froctober too as I want more space. It will take some time to adjust my shopping habits though. I also feed DS when he works from here and DH's "mate" who helps when he has heavy jobs

M&S had sandwiches RTC to 20p so I got 6 packs and have frozen them If it works good if not it only pennies lost They need 1.5 packs each plus fillers every day

A quick tidy up then off to the funeral, which will finish with a 3 course Chinese lunch Very unusual

Take care and enjoy whatever you do

Another place worth looking at is Holmfirth vinery - they also have luxury accommodation.
They used to be on the deal websites with vineyard tours alongside brunch or afternoon tea deals

I will have a look and see if they still do

Cheshire Oaks - its actually quite a distance, about an hour away as the road to Chester has cameras and speed restrictions and there is no bypass or dual carriage way until just outside Chester.
So if Cheshire Oaks is the main attraction you might be better being closer to Chester.

Funny how people differently view travelling times. I wouldn't blink at an hour to get somewhere (because of having lived a very rural location) yet some people baulk at a few miles!
