:T:T excellent idea. (I do this always, learnt at Mother's knee, we don't waste paper.... I grind my teeth when receivers rip paper off  :o )

Yes, its going to be a test of my nerves in a few days time, my beautifully wrapped gifts with the paper all shredded up - hell its my house, I ought to grow a backbone and become The Christmas Dictator and insist on them opening things very carefully so I can rescue as much of the paper as possible :rotfl:

    Good Afternoon :hello:

Thought it was all sorted mum arriving :T

DS arrived I asked him what time GF was arriving to pick him up earliest 4pm would depend on traffic from Warrington :T

Asked mum for second time what time she was booking taxi ?. Answer I don't know

DS leaves after dinner with bags of pressies and brings back here so he doesn't have to go and help mum with them tomorrow :A

When it was time for me and our Poppy to leave I asked for third time what time would she be booking taxi for ?

:j Got answer 2pm that's sorted then so I thought.

Gets home just catches DS before he goes tells him mums plans and  he says that's daft especially if she expecting GF to run her home we will be all a rush. Me cooking and trying to open pressies

Ring mum when he gone to tell her she says she will ring taxi for 1pm then :T

While I am writing this mum rings she rang taxi and cant book one  she got to ring in morning :( So hope she still gets here just gone 1pm .

Oh the joys of Christmas Day in the tweets house :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Good morning all

TM Thanks for the tea, always nice to get a cuppa made by someone else

DH has gone running and we will be delivering presents throughout the day, well until about 2.30 Home for a cuppa then off to see about some whoopsies

DH will then be delivering the Santa gifts that required to be built here the other day This will be very late evening

As you know DD has estranged herself from most of the family but sent lovely flowers to DH's old auntie, she included her new address so I may drop a card saying they are missed It will just open old wounds if its rejected gain , so its just a maybe

BB Nice to see you posting

    Enjoy your day

I agree with the others mrsmac......never miss an opportunity to reach out. I’m sure one day things will right themselves and at least you have tried to keep the lines of communication open.
    Fingers crossed

Just to let you know that I’m learning the words to “Baby it’s cold outside” just in case I’m invited to do a duet with with anyone over the festive period:)

Even if I say so myself, I’m surprisingly in tune:)
