Evening all
Hope you had a fantastic birthday Fayolle _party_
I lurve my karch*r donajt - so quick and easy
Sorry to read about your boiler Natty and pleased new one sorted
Pigpen - the difference is that the classical one has nylon (softer) strings and so a more mellow note, and the acoustic has steel strings, so harder on the fingers and a more metallic tone. The spacings on the neck are slightly different as well, the acoustic being closer. It's really a matter of preference, though acoustic seem to be more popular. If it's being carted about though I would definitely go for a hard case to try to prevent damage.
Usual stuff done
Started to clear out the planters on balcony - then was too cold and windy
Cleaned the bathroom
About half my 'teaching' box sorted
Kitchen all WUDUPA. Bunkers, hob and micros wiped down.
I just fancied a bread and butter pudding today. Think it's the cold weather. So made one and left out the sultanas at one end and added marmalade for DH as he, like many scots, don't like dried fruit. I'll see what he thinks tomorrow.
The project manager for the new windows visited again today. He has re-scheduled our windows and now we are being fitted on Monday 20th :j Not looking forward to the fit but looking forward to the rest of the winter without cold and leaky windows.

Even just one week of flying has left my house unrecognisable! Thank you, ladies. DS let me sleep from about 10 til 5 last night so I feel a bit better, mentally.

Good morning fellow flyladies
Yesterday was a pretty good day with lots achieved and it includes the bathroom, so yippee! Day "off" for me!!! Just the dailies and cooking, oh and cleaning out cluckies. Might sort a few boxes in the house if [STRIKE]I get time[/STRIKE] CBA. All washing and ironing under control, so I can pop out for a cuppa with my friend mid-morning.

Good morning everyone and thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes yesterday. x
Happy Boiler Day today, Valli!
Yesterday was productive - nothing like a woman scorned to motivate!! Bathroom cleaned, paperwork pile demolished, full day at the part time job.... But my biggest excitement if the day - not ine but TWO charity bags to fill! Happy weekend coming up...
Must dash, catch you all later. Have a good Friday. X0 -
Morning all
I'm in work all day so won't be about.
Hugs and posi vibes for all who want them I'll catch up later
Pigpen another thing with acoustic guitars it's helpful to learn to play with a plectrum ds learned the hard way he's forever ripping his fingers to shreds and has got through rolls of micropore as he usually finished a set covered in his own blood. Someone has finally taught him that you don't have to suffer for your music and he plays the harder faster stuff with plecs now to save injury.
Right better make a move I supppose. Have a goood day all. XSPC~12 ot 124

Kiddies fed and dressed, DH dispatched to work and I'm having a brew before school run. I've unloaded and reloaded DW, and about to unload TD. Going volunteering this morning, and will make a chilli for dinner
I've done the online money shuffle, and need to list a couple of bits on eBay, as you can see from my signature we are on a mission to get our mortgage down, it's heading in the right direction thankfully. Might wrap some Christmas presents today too.
Back later ladies xxMFW

Morning all.
I shall be away on an intensive residential weekend as part of my course, so I did some batch cooking yesterday and am leaving DH a meal plan - after my hard work, woe betide him if I come home on Sunday afternoon and find he has ignored it!
I stayed up last night until silly o'clock preparing for a half-hour session for which I am solely responsible  It took me far longer than I had hoped and is still not quite finished.
So today's plan is
- send an email to confirm a lift
- WM and TD x3
- Shower and breakfast
- DH :A will take Rosie for her short morning walk - he will get the sunny period
- print out booklets
- finish prepping and print out one copy of the final section
- print out some required reading (an 80-page document, and I did the 40-page document yesterday )
- write two letters and send DH out to post them
- clear my desk
- S&S kitchen, bathroom and ensuite; tidy [STRIKE]LR and[/STRIKE] bedroom; ask DH to hoover downstairs
- refill Rosie's night-time gravy bones tin
- finish packing: mustn't forget my K!nd1e and its charger, meds [already sorted] because my arthritis is playing up, warm layers, big dressing gown and slippers - the centre we go to is a picturesque house but can be very draughty in places, there are no ensuite facilities, and the duvets are thin!
- lunch
- fold and put away clean washing
- take Rosie for her long walk
- relax until my lift arrives
Hope everyone has a good day today and a relaxing weekend. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need x0 -
Was exhausted last night, luckily had done basics before going out so was able to sit down in front of tv for the evening, but meant I didn't clear kitchen properly before going up to bed, I was disappointed to come down to it this morning. It didn't take long at all to straighten everything.
Have had to force myself to FLY this morning but basics now done and I've dusted stairs and living room, vacuumed stairs, living room and kitchen and steamed living room and kitchen. Once I got started is was no problem. Now just waiting for floor to dry so I can go and make a cup of coffee then HHI, WM is on and just one more load to go on later then all up to date.
A couple of calls to make that I keep putting off so hopefully clean tidy kitchen will motivate me to get on with them and so bits of paperwork to catch up on.
SMILE it's nearly the weekend!0 -
Bills paid..
Twinkle fed.. she is now telling me off because I won't let her climb on toys.. I'm clearly just too mean! lol
I have a thing to take back to mothercare to exchange for something else but that can't be done until Tuesday at the earliest.. I need to go food shopping.. £33 for the week.. I can do this right? tbh they only eat pasta and sausages given the opportunity so it shouldn't be too costly.. lol. I need to go to B00ts for prescription pick ups.. I have some christmas outfits I need to fling on Ebeast.. and I wantsome filler for the bathroom.. I have decided DS2 and DS3 can paint it.. I will direct they can do.. valuable life skills!! and I may have them do the kitchen too.. in fact, no 'may' about it..
OH is off to college as an extra day today.. I'm not really very impressed tbh I need to get loads done and he is just swanning off to play with wood (He is building us a new front door, I am just being petty!)
The builders next door are being stupid loud today.. I want to complain but don't want to be a miseryguts, they aren't really doing anything wrong just messing about and shouting and have music really loud and I just have the thumping bass in here which is really annoying.
I think Twinkle is stinky again.. that child is forever stinky!! She doesn't eat anything, I'm not sure how she manages it!
And it is Friday.. Swimming tomorrow and I have to walk the beasties there and back but OH is off Sunday.
So, after all that waffling about what I need to do todays plan..
Laundry catch up.
Filler and food from shop
prescription collection
DW catch up
