Okay so I counted all the pennies in all my jars and the total came to £31.70
and I decided to use my spare change to save for a house deposit until my wedding and emergency funds are at a sustainable amount.

I wasn't going to save for a house deposit just yet but felt like I'd only be pushing us back if I saved nothing at all.


Total is £41.44

Good evening everyone! :hello:

£2 worth of silver coins potted, which is very exciting! The sound as they clinked into the pot was very satisfying. Also another £11.09 left over from what I didn't spend over the last month (payday tomorrow, so it all starts again!).

No other potting until Friday, I imagine.

I'm putting all saving money into my/our emergency fund.

Having trouble to juggle all my saving goals & wants and decided to take it a step a time by saving up for one thing at a time.

Also, not paying £500.00 for a bit of paper to say we're officially a couple. (yet) :rotfl:

The OH gave me a 50p to pot yesterday (he's slowly coming on board!) but I realised it was an Olympic boxing one so it had to go into the "special money" pot instead so no actual potting news from me but my special coins are looking lovely

Thanks so very much for your lovely words, dustydigger. We do our very best to be as encouraging to each other as possible and really make the best of our beloved SPC! I think we also respect each other, be a listening ear for each other too. Mostly we’ve become a family which is wonderful!
BTW. Very well done on what turned out to be fantastic potting, dustydigger!!! All the best for as good an amount next time, but never worry if you’re unable to.

How mean some parents are not to bother taking their kiddies to parties, jakes-mum, after all how many young’ns are there that aren’t delighted to get invites!!! Maddening to say the very least. :mad:
