Been totting up my cash from surveys. So far I have cashed in £77 all as amaz*n vouchers for buying books.I got 17 books for that, and still have £27 on account,so am very happy about it. I also have about £50 from surveys I am still working through, but wont count that till I can actually get hold ofit,it could be quite a while.Have got £33.85 on the You Gov site, but still have quite a way to go to get to £50!:D
  • Hi Sue and fellow potters :)

I'm declaring early, Sue, because tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! and G is taking me out to lunch. We are also being allocated half a plot at the local allotment and we are so excited as we have been waiting 8 years for the chance. We get to go and see it tomorrow (insert a jumping icon) so will be busy making plans for growing our own fruit and veg. It will be brilliant especially since DD is struggling financially and has been all this year due to SiL being made redundant 3 times in 3 years :( so she can be supplied with free stuff too. Little GS is excited too and can't wait to come and help (he's 11 and quite strong :) )

Anyways ….drum roll perlease.... SPC member #70

Sealed pot £30.32 plus craft sales £177.02

    TOTAL £207.34

That will be enough for Christmas gifts and I have Nectar points worth £68.84 for Christmas food...which will be plenty for all of us. If I can count this in the total too this makes:

    Grand Total £276.18

Thanks so much for running the thread again this year Sue. Although I can't pop in as often as I used to, I really do appreciate your hard work and the fact that that all of the potters support each other.

    Good luck tomorrow everyone! x

Happy birthday for tomorrow little_sweetie, I hope you have a lovely lunch out.

I haven't got any money to pot yet, but I plan to have a little fumble in DH's pockets later - now there's a treat!

  • Hi. Looking forward to counting up tomorrow. I have two small sealed tins, one full the other 3/4 full I think. Definitely will have more this year than all the previous years.

Also, went to stay with my parents last week for half term and my Mum gave me a sealed tin and said she had been saving since January for me (bless her and my Dad). I counted it up yesterday and there is £250 in £5 notes, £2 coins, £1 coins and 50ps. I won't use this towards my total as I didn't save it myself.

Will update with my totals sometime tomorrow.

    Have fun opening everyone!

And congrats on your awesome total :D

Still not opening my tins! they are calling me 'jakesmum, jakesmum! we love you! come open us!' but I am refraining, they will not tantalise me into early opening with their shiny bodies and clinky insides!

Off to take DD to the hairdressers cos, yes, I am the idiot who books a haircut at 4:30pm on halloween :o :rotfl:

Oh my word, dustydigger, what rotten luck you had last year!!! Such a shame your son didn't read the vital instructions. :(

On a lighter note; that's some great savings you have via Am!!on!! :D I'm more than a bit peeved with YouGov these days as, apparently customers with a Plusnet address can't be sent to. A load of cobblers no doubt, but I shall be having more words with them, wanting my money owed too as it's been a LONG time!!!!

Many congratulations to you, little_sweetie, as that's a brilliant amount you've managed to save this year!!!!! :j Marvellous news about the allotment which will certainly help you all out :D you won't need veg with plastic around them either!!!! :j:j T and I do the same with ours from our local Fruit & Veg shop too, we open the shopping bag for them to pop everything it!!!! :T I'm so sorry to hear about your poor S-I-L, they've really had it rough during the last couple of years.
A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you for tomorrow!!!! :bdaycake: Have a brilliant day!

:rotfl:Fantastic siju!!!!Iwas feeling disappointed for you with not having any more cash, but then read the part about your hubby ;) and was really chuffed for you!! :rotfl:
