  • Future husband took £2 out of the jar yesterday for the pool table but a work mate paid instead so he potted it back in and gave me 20p to pot as well.

Today I'm going to get cash out for shopping so I can see how much i am allowed to spend,
and will pot little change if there's any as I'm going to meet my sister for a coffee & to see Where my wedding dress is - it was supposed to be delivered last saturday after ordering it on the 13th but it's a no show. I need to get work trousers and batteries for our smoke & fire alarm

  • I've not been on in a while. The tins haven't collected much as we had to go to all on line shopping.
I have got a bit in cashback sites that I keep and cash out at Christmas and some in a savings account with the left over grocery budget in. Do they count? (i can't remember).
Also do you want my totals early or late? we go away on the 26th and get back on the 5th? Will the 5th be too late? Then i wont be tempted to spend it on Holiday.

charlies tribe,Cashback sites money does count in this challenge,as does grocery savings. And reporting after you get back will be fine.SueUU is very good allowing a few days grace, though we don't want people drawing it out tooooooo long-we are all desperate to see what our grand total for the year is :T:T.

    I potted 2 x £2 coins the other day.:j

  • Pot opening day is getting so close that I am making an extra effort to top up the tin. I have been potting £1 or so whenever I can by parking in a free zone and walking to the shops instead of paying to park and I haven't bought any coffee out for ages either. Oh, and I found a shiny 5p on the ground by my car so that's gone in too :)

Hey, very late in the game but can I join you guys? I have a demijohn partly filled with change from my purse. Theres probably not much in there but it would be nice to cash it in and start fresh come november. Don't worry about giving me a number if its easier not to.

It's NEVER too late RebeccaAnn SPC No 611. Everyone has to have a number as it's so much easier for me. ;) A VERY warm welcome to you! It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 3rd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 1st Nov 2018.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your number on your sig, it really helps me.

Hello again all Potters!!! :hello: It's great to see you all!!!!! :j
I hope you're all very well and h For those who aren't well in any way, I really hope you get well very soon! Here's love and {{{{hugs}}}} from us all.:grinheart:grinheart

Many thanks for welcoming RebeccaAnn on, mummytummy, here's another gold star for you. :staradmin Though a bit of a cheeky comment at the same time! You're forgiven.

Indeed you must find more cash to go in the pot, siju!!! :j Not at all long now!

    Yay, Sue is back!
Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m sorry to hear about your health worries and the stress that the renovations have had on you. I’m glad to see you back though!

    Emily x

Yes, I'm back Emily, and no more renovations to worry about!!! :j:j Stress is much better too!! :D The kind words come easily as you've battled so hard and managed to get out of the woods!! :T

What a lovely friend you have, Saver-upper! It's good to have your pot £20 the richer as a result!! :D E,xcellent returns with the ballet money too! Doesn't ballet ever cost a fortune too! What with the lessons, cat-suits, shoes and tights, it's expensive stuff as I well recall from our DD's days.

BTW. Thanks so very much for the great advice to charlies tribe, excellent, and for that you get a gold star. :staradmin

It's lovely to see you, 166million, though it doesn't sound as though your pot's benefitted! :( You've still time to catch up, so keep on saving!!!!

Great potting, MrsShazbat!!!! It's ok to mention Christmas now as we're in October so all is well!!!!! :xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile

As Saver-upper has rightly said, charlies tribe, all the money you're speaking of CAN be put into your tin and counted with the rest of your cash when you're ready. Declaring your savings after the 5th will be fine, I promise you!

Some might say I'm a bit of an ogre, but I totally disagree!! ;);););) Have a lovely time away...without spending naturally! :rotfl:

I hope you've tracked down your Wedding Dress, apricity, or that you soon will!! Good work from your Hubby to be with returning the borrowed cash! :D

Brilliant potting again, Chutney, very well done!!!! :D

YAY Lost!!!! :j What a saving for a month, I'm thrilled to bits for you, also for the Topcashback gains too!!!! :D So, another month to go then!!! :T

    BRILLIANT SAVINGS POTTERS!!! :j

Keep up the amazing work as it's not long to go now!! :D

    Yet another great saving, siju!!!!!

Brilliant work, Little Sweetie!!!! Keep up the parking free and walking all year round as it really makes a difference!! :j No bought coffee either is fantastic!! I'm so chuffed for you. :D Well done on the 5p!!

The total potting for Hubby & I during the last two weeks is £12.50!!! :j We're all getting very excited now as our 2nd great-grandchild is due next month on the 29th. It will be the first child of our eldest grandson and his soon-to-be wife!!! :A

Our first DGGS (the first of our DGGD & hubby) was a year old last Thursday, he's a little darling though at times he's got a wicked little laugh.
Have a super Wednesday, Thursday too folks!! My heart really goes out to all those poor souls in the Philippines! Very sad indeed.

    Sue xx

Aw how lovely Sue-UU, I keep nagging my children to provide me with a grandchild, but alas, they completely ignore me!

Have added some change to the pot (courtesty of DH), not sure how much he put in it though......

Did Mrs Shazbat mention Christmas? CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSSSS! :xmastree: :santa2: :snow_grin :snow_grin :santa2: :xmassign: :xmastree: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Talking of christmas ( :xmastree: CHRISTMASSSSSSSSSSSS :xmastree: ) I have finished both of the minions christmas presents apart from a few sweets for DD's stocking :j :j so the biggest expense is done and I haven't even opened the tins :D

3 x £2 coins in the tin today care of DH, who seems to be a favourite with the pubs and shops for them (much to his disgust as he doesn't want to keep giving me his money :rotfl: )

Purse clear-out this week, £5.50 into the pot and a good £4+ in loose change into the bottle (not to be emptied yet). Quidco total for the year is up to £182.52 with £32.95 still to track.

Edit: forgot the £12 in £2s in my special £2 collecting pocket in my purse as well :rotfl:

Work has been horrendously busy since the beginning of September and I currently have nearly 3 days' worth of flexi to take! Exhausted isn't the word :wall:

Anyway, I can't wait to open up my tin and count :T
