I've just got this image of an accountant in a pin stripe suit, with a baseball cap on backwards and driving a corsa saying 'innit' a lot.0 -

I seem to recall he had a number of spats with anone who criticised his comments, especially drawing attention to any bad press against IFA's.
It was always the fault of the victim for not being clever enough to spot when they went into a bad deal, it was never the IFA at fault.
As I said I'm a long term lurker and the board now seems a lot more cheerful now he's gone, he did seem to think it was his board.
To coin a phrase that seems to fit as well as I’ve seen with any post “you aren’t even wrong”0 -

I rarely post on this forum now since when I once tried to offer help to one poster they simply argued without any reason .
I have never come in to any thread with an attitude in my view. I ask many many questions here & i'm always thankful for help.
However some people seem to take a dislike to those who don't know. There's certain forums within this message board that i find have a bad attitude more than other forums. Employment forum for example is terrible for it. Savings & Investments forum for example i find mostly very helpful.
I'd recently made a post asking a question and it was going well until 1 person decided to wade in with a bit of an attitude which continued. I was just trying to have a discussion & we can discuss our differing views and there's ways to do that but this person (in my view) just had an unnecessary attitude and then similar others waded in. In the end i removed my posts (which i don't like doing by the way) because certain people weren't listening. I was being accused of not listening yet they were putting words in my mouth & making things up but when i questioned them on it they would ignore the question asking why they were doing that (& would later question why i was ignoring their advice! go figure). I felt if we're playing silly beggars then there's little point in the thread being there.
In the past i've contacted the MSE team to remove such posts when they just start getting way off topic (a common one) and out of hand. Just silly point scoring.
No doubt they will feel they've done nothing wrong. I feel they've gone off topic & been silly & petty for no good reason when they could've discussed with no attitude .... 2 sides to every story.0
