I seem to recall this person an another seemed to be at loggerheads over a financial matters and that member also seems to have dissapeared.
I didn't know you could get banned so I suppose that's what happened to both of them.
In a way fresh blood is always useful as long as you mind the ps and qs and don't go upsetting anyone and keep your hands to youself
He'd had temporary bans before, from what I recall for getting into spats with people who are being abusive so he could easily get trolled or drawn in.
His advice was generally very good and he provided a useful perspective for many in not only being objective but also showing how an advisor would view things.
On the other hand he had a particular perspective based in his day job and that could affect his opinions, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
I think the real problem was that his final ban was for something pretty inocuous. It was also on a thread which was trying to make people aware of the risks that were involved in a particular investment that many felt wasn't being mad sufficiently obvious to the retail investors they were targeting. The specific posts being argued over were also not only verbose and made little sense but appeared to be quoting text from third parties with no acknowledgement or permission. Given how easily mse bend to any threat of action then it was very odd that those posts were defended with such vigour and the related banning of a long term and valuable member of these boards.0 -

Well, there are two long and wonderful threads, one in Pensions the other in site feedback all, rightly, praising the man who cannot be named.
If only there was moderation on this site, MSE would see what damage they have done. A damage, I fear that is not correctable.
But on a thread that has been entirely deleted, I was assured by a moderator that there were no moderators.
