TIRED MUM, TAPLADY, VASTSARAH and GRANNYBROON - (((hugs))) to you all and hope you are feeling better.

CRAZY - have loads of fun with the new car!

Well, have been busy this morning and should have taken it easier because I'm worn out now. I really wanted to have a good clean up around the house because it has been neglected lately so, from that point of view, it has made me feel as though I've achieved loads. Don't know whether to put the washing on the line because it looks like it might rain.

DH and I are off to have lunch with DS2; he finishes work early on Friday and is having trouble with his shower which DH thinks is the pump, so he'll have a look at that. We'll take some fish and chips round to eat there which will save me cooking tonight. We'll also get to play with his new kitten again. He could not have got a crazier cat! He's driving them mad because he takes all his food out of his dish and plays with it, making a terrible mess, and he also jumps on them from the stairs - reminds me of Cato in the Inspector Clouseau films! He lies in wait for either DS2 or his GF and just launches himself at them. He's so cute, though, I love him already.

Did anyone watch the two programmes about the Ice Road Truckers (on History Channel) last night? It was brilliant, about how they move heavy supplies and equipment to the diamond mines near the Arctic Circle from Yellowknife (Canada, I think). There are about two months of the year when the lakes freeze over enough to take the weight of the laden trucks but, first of all, they have to build the road. Then the truckers spend sixty days driving backwards and forwards, day and night, until all the supplies are delivered. Then the road melts. It's very dangerous work and the men earn enough during the two months to keep them going all year, about £40000. I love programmes like that and found it really fascinating. The men are either very brave or completely mad! One of them was only 21 and another had been doing it for seven years and he was only 25!

Anyway, off to get some HM soup out of the freezer for tea tonight so, see you all later.

    KathyXX

CATOWEN - hope you manage to get your laptop sorted out soon.

Hi Y'all, overcast and muggy here in the emids! I got most of my jobs done yesterday, so I've sat and done a few Paid2clicks while I watched last nights Look North on the EtherWeb.

I'm picking the MATHLETTS up from school this afto and heading to the coast for the weekend. I hope the weather stays dry so I can burn off a few calories with some brisk beach walking. The only problem is that at the end of my usual walk is a cafe that sells delicious hot chocolate and 6 doughnuts for £1, which is how I got to need to burn a few fat grammes in the first place. LOL I've tried not taking any money with me to avoid temptation but then I just feel hard done and sulk, resulting in me having to kick crabs all the way home to feel better:D If you get an uncontrollable urge to like ya lips tomorrow about 11am you will know I've given in. LOL

Mrs MATH is staying in land locked Leics as she has a craft demo to do on Saturday.

PP - Sorry you are feeling soo bad. I hope the meds can do something/anything to help.

Hugs to all, I'll catch ya after the weekend

Afternoon everyone.................((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one, especially TMum.

We are back at home, I woke during the night feeling less than well, did not get up until just after 9am, but it quickly beame obvious there was something wrong, so we decided to come home, my friend is well on the mend, and she had a very nasty chest infection and I did not want to pass anything else to her............when we left she was working in the garden.

I have just made OH a bacon and sausage sandwhich, he still has problems with his back, but I got him a tens machine which seems to be helping, he managed to drive home, but then he had to, I was feeling so bad.

SHEZ...yes I do menu plan, and thinking that my friend was going to be away I had done the same for our stay there, so we stuck to it.

I have found a new way of cooking sweetcorn, I wrapped them in foil and threw them in the Aga for about 40 minutes, they were delicious, I am going to try doing them the same way in the Romuska.......

OH is just making me cuppa, thren I think I am going to retire to the bedroom for a couple of hours.............see y'all later!!!

Penny Pincher - Please just relax. (Hard I know). Although it will be awful, just keep thinking that your time in hospital is for the best. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your DH and your DD. Take care hun (maybe you'll get a jackieo type doctor, you know, with a "lovely bum"!)

Sorry I can't mention the rest of you individually - I know how nice it is to get amention. I usually feel quite invisible on here, but on tuesday I got about 3 mentions. I was sooo chuffed. But even if I don't get any - you're not getting rid of me - mwahaha.

I don't have much time DH is going to give me DD and go out any minute

I've spent all morning at the hairdressers - and kind of resemble myself again.

Also - kitchen (<-- ahem THIS IS A LINK PINK!) is underway. Fridge was supposed to be delivered this morning but when it arrive it was sooooo badly damaged that it's gone back and we won't get another till next friday. Of course they've taken the old one. DH has complained, and we should be getting a table top fridge for the week. Thank goodness.

    hugs to all

    got to go.

New car is great, I passed Dlb on my way back, she nearly ignored me if I didnt flash like a maniac at her! lol. Only thing is, my heels on my boots kept getting caught, so may have to drive in flats from now on!

Fetched the quilt from the laundrette, and posted a few parcels for ebay.
