OS Daily 12th October 07

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 12th oct. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
Going fishing today out of Mevagissey in Cornwall. The forcast is great and the boat and skipper excellent. We are hoping for several bass..... Can't wait.
Nice to have a long weekend off and start with a fishing trip. Meal out tomorrow night.... Pay day Monday.... Does not get much better than this....
Hope you all have a nice one too

Morning everyone.
Thanks for ds b/day wishes yesterday, he had a great day and we went and ordered him a bike last night with his money he had received, iv got to go and pick it up this afternoon.
Feeling quite tierd this morning, think that is due to the early wake-up call yesterday, but plan on getting lots done today.
Want to iron enough uniform to last until the kids break up next week, have a good tidy up in the bedrooms, dd found one of her xmas presents last night so need to re hide a few items!! Managed to tell her it was for someone else and she wasnt a 100% sure what it was she had found so hoping by xmas she will have forgot about the fact she had found it!! Just glad it wasnt her main pressie she found!!
Tea tonight will be HM pizza with pasta bake, and ds1 is going to make a apple crumble for tommorow night as he is having a few friends round as a sort of belated birthday party, know hes getting older and more grown up as he asked for all mine and dh friends to come round and not aload of kids from school, so we have asked them round from 6-9pm as we have a early start on sunday with footy.
Right off to make the last pack ups of the week
Catch you all later
Hugs to all

Hiya,
Waves to N9eav, amie, Mrs M, redruby and dlb! It's easier to wave at everyone if you get up earlier! :TDlb, your son sounds lovely, how cool making the apple crumble for all your friends, cool that he considers them his friends too.
Last night I made 6 jars of the 'chocolate orange sauce' for my Christmas hampers, tasted yummy. So me and DH took all the pots, pouring jug, wooden spoon etc to lick clean while we watched 'studio 60 on the sunset strip' last night. :DGreat show, anyone addicted?
More revision today, so trying to keep my posts down! But I'll be surfing MSE in my heart!;)

Morning all. Just a quick one - had a bad night's sleep then woke up later than usual so feel all behind, now!
Need to change the sheets and give the house a good clean this morning; have several errands to run then need to collect DGS and DGD up from school this afternoon. It's going to be one of those 'bitty' days, I think!
Hope everyone has a great day and (((hugs))) for all who are poorly or worried, and good wishes for anyone who is celebrating something today.
See you all later.

Morning Guys!
Have been back since Wednesday but really not been well enough to post. I am having major problems eating and now have a severe infection in my sinus where they took the roots as its not healing due to other problems. I am seeing the tooth specialist this morning and OH is ready to smack him:eek:  ....we told him 2 weeks ago about most my problems but wasnt interested as the letter was from my top consultant at Kings and doctors dont like being told by other doctors etc. He wont be able to do anything today because of the infection but my weight has dropped again and looks ineviatable (sp) that I will have to be tube fed by next week. I am fed up with being proded and poked around. OH is going to be direct with him and tell him that if this doesnt get sorted ASAP I could die! He is just a very laid back doctor, but I cant afford this as I dont have time for their errors.
Sorry to go on again.

Good Moaning all my lovelies.
Todays the 'big day' for us up in Ancasta-land. Its completion and keys day! Have to head off out at 8 to go and approve the few minor snags then im off to take my grandma round the local shops and for her flew jab, gotta treat her nice, she's buying us a dishwasher for the new house as a belated wedding present :T
Stocked up in Aldi lastnight for bits for lunches over the weekend so we arent tempted to get chips for lunch, as we have pennied away enough for a little take away for 3 nights when we are busy and doing the most of the work, i know we wont want to cook. If we dont have dinner i know we'll end up starving and ordering more than we need at the take away.... hey, atleast i know us well
Should really be getting my lazy derriere in to gear but its so warm under my blankie. We are picking up our new rescue cat tomorrow and we're dropping the blanket off today with our smell on it so the kitty can get used to it while we arent there, and its something a little more familiar to comfort him during the journey home instead of everything being new. I cant see much work getting done tomorrow, just sitting stroking and playing with the cat!!
Todays to do list :- check house
- do errands with Grandma
- Drop off at cat shelter
- Make 1st day emergency box for house with kettle, biscuits, cups etc
- Start mammoth task of ringing everyone to tell them we have moved.... in to a new build house that doesnt 'exist'. Should be fun eh?
- Pack up bathroom toiletries
- Tin cupboard
K xx
P.s Penny Pincher, sorry to hear about your sinus! I love reading your posts about your mega money bargain spotting OH and your lovely lovely daughter... im glad to be back :happyhear0 -
Morning All
Have a great fishing trip N9eav
Massive ((((Hugs)))) PP
Well lots to do today as ended up doing very little yesterday. Went instead to Makro to stock up on toilet roll which was on offer/
OH has kindly agreed to get up early today and take DS to school so I can make a head start on the housework which I would really like to get done by lunchtime. This afternoon will be doing my horrible filing job in my office.
OH is going out this morning to get some wood to put some more shelves up in my office and I will have to declutter. Its horrrible in there. Everyroom in this house needed doing when we moved in. We have done some rooms but have run out of money for the time being so we are doing what we can to improve as much as possible till finances allow us to start decorating again.
Think this is half the problem with me putting off the housework, the rooms that havnt been done still look terrible even when they have been cleaned spotlessly. Anyway moan over.
Tomorrow might not have time to post as we are off to see England play at wembley, slightly gutted that John Terry wont be playing but hopefully Beckham will be. Also we are sitting much lower down so OH wont get vertigo again!
Think is hm chicken curry for tea.
Have a great Friday and a brilliant weekend.
