  • Evening all,

KATHRYN, could you please put me down for 10 lbs for this challenge please? This will take me almost to my target and maybe I will exceed this as I have done for the Halloween challenge. Though not if I continue as I have done tonight. Terry's chocolate orange... I shall say no more:o

BUBBS, I made your quiche but thought I'd be clever and make it with extra eggs. Problem was the dish was too small and trying to get it successfully in the oven was a complete disaster. Cue lots of runny egg on the worktop, in the oven, down the cupboards, on the floor, on the dog. I made quite a spectacular mess. Next time stick to the recipe I think:rotfl:

    Congratulations to the slinky/skinny minis.

Welcome to the newbies.... wow some of weight losses are already fabulous x

After a weekend of alcohol and food, I have been an angel today.

    I have had:

    One cucumber
    one pack of ham
    one apple
    one banana.
    one tomato.

What a difference a day makes.... no huge, massive pancakes covered in everything yummy!

Well another week for me, and determined to lose my holiday gain, and my pre-holiday gain. Also want to get back to 4 stone. Currently at 3 st 10 lb. Want to be halo polishingly good this week

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - porridge
    Lunch - pasta salad
    Dinner - Risotto
    Snacks - fruit

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - oats
Syns - syrup (1), salad dressing (1), plus there will be some in the risotto, but not worked it out yet.

Going to try to cut out the ginger sweets. I feel less nauseous when I have them, but it isn't really reducing the amount I'm actually sick.
Still got the sugar coating on my drugs to take in to account, but decided that they aint my fault so I aint counting them!

  • Thank you Kathryn for the new thread and huge congratulations on Miss Slinky!! So well deserved!!

Welcome Dusty! I agree with Kathryn, get grating some veg and hiding it in the sauces. Courgette seems to disappear completely ;)

Hello Mary Hinge! 2lbs is a rubbish gain for six months, I can do that in a day :rotfl:
TETE, yes crisps and chocolate are my downfall too, particularly crisps. I could literally eat them all day and then some. Very impressed at your DIY efforts btw :T

Thank you! Going to try to get a bit of a production line going today to get the shelves up in the other alcove. I'm desperate to get the house back in order, there's stuff (and sawdust) everywhere at the mo.

My downfall at the moment is my syns. I eat well all day, use very few syns apart from the ginger sweets, and the sugar coating on my drugs which I don't syn, then I get to the evening, and think I deserve a treat, especially when I am feeling yukky or down.
I need to get in control of this treat. I plan to make up goody bags for myself at 5 syns each, so I can have a treat and not feel guilty, and if I really need it I could have 2 or even 3 without blowing everything.

I talk about this all the time and I don't know if suitable for you, but I like to have an Options hot chocolate (or even two!) on an evening as a treat. It's really sweet and chocolatey and satisfying, and lasts a long time as obviously it's hot so you can only sip at it. Only two syns each.

How many syns are the ginger sweets? I hate to think of you feeling sick for the sake of SW :(

Good decision to take the challenge up to New Year. I don't think I'll be especially on plan for the final week of 2017 so it'll be nice to start afresh. Will keep my goal at 8lbs even though it's nine weeks, I think that's realistic for the time of year.

Finally got a start date for my new job: Monday 13th! Need to get my thinking cap on for packed lunches.

    Today:
    B - Mushroom omelette with 10g cheese (2)
D - SW Italian chicken and tomato soup
T - Lamb, aubergine and chickpea curry from freezer (1), quinoa
    HEA - Milk
HEB - ? Maybe sprinkle some pumpkin seeds on my curry? Not sure!
    Syns - Sugar (4), cheese (2), curry (1), hot choc (2) = 9

Really aiming to stick to this today. I ended up eating three mini rolls of Love Hearts last night (blimmin Halloween!) but was relieved to find that's only 4.5 syns in total. So finished on 15 syns yesterday but still have 4.5 carried over from the weekend to 'pay back'!

Have a good day all - happy new challenge! xx
