I'm not sure that I'm confident in their ability to be the HR team :rotfl:0 -
Up bright and early for my Saturday morning "shift" at MB. Mrs E takes DD to her dancing class on Saturdays, so it's the least disruptive time of the week to be a rude sod and ignore everyone! Currently listening to some 90s Orbital drinking a huge mug of coffee
The bank transfer for our last FIT reading came in yesterday. It was lower than expected, but it has been a good year for solar all things considered (+£100 vs. last year). £167.82 paid off a CC :j
I read a short article the other day saying that 0% BT cards are becoming less common, more expensive and with lower offer periods, which doesn't exactly fill me with joy. Ah well, I will keep plugging away at them. I've definitely got a pay rise coming in a month, Mrs E got a recent pay rise and we may also have a second pay rise/bonus and a small windfall coming by year end.
Today I am cooking HM chicken pot pies with shortcrust pastry cases (roasted the chicken yesterday, will make HM stock this morning for the sauce). Got to keep using my new pudding moulds :rotfl:
Have a lovely Saturday everyone.0 -
If you are looking for a 0% BT card the Spanish bank is 27 months with no fee at the moment. I appreciate you may be looking at the future prospects for these but there are still deals to be had. Personally I try to pay off within the 0% period so each one is removed. Gone are the days of our MBNA cards with a 1% fee, an 18 month period on cash advances with balances of £15k and £12k for DH and me. We acquired £27k and used it in a high interest account to pay over £100 a month off our mortgage :whistle:Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I think I'm past anything too clever for now (although MB is going that way)
Pies were lovely, although the carrots could have been a little softer. I blind baked the cases and everything (chick peas substituting for ceramic beads that I didn't have)! Had a lovely early dinner with some steamed broccoli and a glass or two of vino, now doing some MB admin and figuring out whether I made a profit
Also found time for a nice family walk around a large local park, plenty of Pooh sticks as there's a lovely valley where a river runs off a series of small waterfalls0 -
Apparently B@rclaycard closed one of my CCs with a positive balance. They are going to send me the princely sum of £21.64, most of which was interest. I have paid this off another CC.
Had a nice bank holiday with Mrs E, today is our wedding anniversary.0 -
