Yes I missed out on the good old days apparently! I don't do horses, so after I pretty much wore out welcome offers (and got plenty of gubbings) I've now switched mostly to casino - not guaranteed in same way, but still builds up.

Oh my word it's a scorcher already!

I have some positive non-MB related financial news. After two car insurance claims in 3 months and the death of our no claims bonus, our current insurer declined to renew our cover I had allowed for a 50% increase in our premium after each accident and was very pleased to renew yesterday at roughly 1/2 of the amount I had assumed. I also managed to beat the comparison site quote by going direct to the same insurer, saving another £40 and getting £60 cashback (hopefully), vs. the £35 offered by the comparison site. Assuming all goes well, £401 where I had expected £800+

I have a few free bets to use today, only £12 or so but I'll take it

Edit: the extra money budgeted for car insurance was split between an unexpected £300 utilities bill (our old provider went bust, it's been chuntering along in the background for 6 months without payment) and our extension fund (+£223 to that)

I don't think I'll ever be sorted KC. I have found myself betwixt life stages, this thread no longer meets my needs. I'll start another at some point
