That's amazing progress on the CC - Well done!
Re your knees - my Mum (90) tells the tale of coming off my Dad's motorcycle (err, not recently!) and skinning her leg - she put vaseline on it every night to stop the scab from getting too tight and was retrospectively told this was why her scarring was so limited but it meant it was a bit gungy until it healed and had a dry gauze dressing. I suspect it isn't in accord with medical advice from today but I did the same when I burned my hand in November and it reduced the itching (I grabbed the oven shelf after the old mitts (since replaced) slipped round to leave the skin bare) and I have no visible scar. It might help your poor knees bend without blood?Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I might give that a try thanks SL :T
We live in an age of wonders - we have lived in this house since October 2015 - Mrs E has just returned triumphant from her first weekly grocery shop :rotfl:
I put DD to bed, washed the dishes, loaded the dishwasher, took out the rubbish and recycling, signed DD up for a regular drama class and did the finances. In retrospect, I prefer the shopping!
Ankle and knees still sore, but I took the car in today and was able to manage a brief hobble along Argyle Street. Not available tomorrow, so I'll have to brave the bus. Thinking about sitting on the bottom like an old yin
£81.54 paid off CC - will be sub £8k as of tomorrow's payment0 -
You must not feel guilty about sitting downstairs on the bus - number one is self-care. If you force yourself to sit upstairs you will slow the healing - and feel rubbish. Nurture yourself - especially with the weather forecast for today - it looks hairy. I saw a pic of the storms in Troon from this week on the BBC News pages and it is horrible. Battered and bruised - you and your locality!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I was so stiff I actually ended up in a taxi (ooh la la)! Still, can't afford that often, so bus home. Plan is to take bus next week and maybe cycle home on Thursday evening.

Skelped car returned good as new! Dreading insurance renewal, but at least I no longer have the creeping dread of a highly specialised repair that I can do absolutely nothing about by myself hanging over me. Garage very good, despite their terrible name (can't share, but hilarious). Exhausted after a terrible night's sleep and my legs hurt0

Cheers Beanie, I'll survive. Mrs E home, little one should sleep tonight and we're treating ourselves to a payday takeaway (part of our routine this year sees us greatly reducing takeaway to no more than once every 4 weeks). Also have a voucher off Ub3r Eats, so shouldn't cost more than £8 :money:0
