If DD had any more confidence she'd be an extrovert :D

I like the idea of drama classes as they'll allow her to be noisy, creative and express herself around her peers. Unlike her introverted old dad :o

We went for a family pub lunch in Milngavie today. I had forgotten how expensive it could be! We spent £41 including tip for two courses each for the adults, one drink each and a kiddie meal (about £5-6). That was *with* a 33% discount on food... Still, a fun afternoon of family bonding after DD went to a wee sleepover last night and paid for by budgeted money/pocket money.

£80 or so paid off CC (I forget exactly). eB@y sales closing shortly, £185 or so :)

Made £215 from the bay of e! Fees not even too horrific as I'd taken advantage of a 99p FVF offer, £4 or so and Payp@l's cut still to be taken. £79.99 paid off CC, will try and bundle up the first couple of sales tomorrow.

Fell off my bike on the way to work

Luckily it was on a stretch of road that was closed to cars, so minimal harm done. I have skint knees, a sore ankle and bruised pride :o Have to say the cautious part of me is rethinking this cycling lark...

3/4 eB@y people have paid, withdrew another £105 from Payp@l.

    £189.85 paid off CC.

  • Poor you about the bike crash; I always worry about DH on his bike and I am not brave enough to ride in the big smoke, hope you are not too bruised. CM

I'm very cautious about cycling (and motor-cycling), especially in the kind of meh weather you have at the moment. I would be looking at it as a fair-weather option if it were me. I hate the bruised and skinned thing with knees too - always made me feel nauseous for some reason. I hope you are not too battered.

Thanks all, I went to the minor injuries unit this morning, but it's not broken. Currently sitting with it elevated and an ice pack underneath. I also have a rather weepy knee with less skin than usual!

I'll strap it up and get into work by hook or crook tomorrow, but hobbling about like an old man at present. Have apologised to my boss, who has been very reasonable about it (probably because I made it in and stayed for the full day after the accident yesterday).

On this occasion, I have only my own crappy eyesight and the darkness to blame for the fall, weather and road conditions were fine.

I'm trying to make myself useful by updating finances and will prepare the eB@y parcels for postage later on (one of the few jobs you can usefully do on your lap with your foot in the air). Have put on laundry and hand washed a few dishes, but even that was probably too much for today, as my aching ankle attests to...

    £82.37 paid off CC.

Ps. Taxis are blimmin' expensive these days!

Lovely quiet day and my ankle is feeling a bit better. Knee has also stopped oozing, although both knees bruised and raw :(

Got all eB@y parcels wrapped, cleaned the washing machine and updated budgets for January and February.

I am hopeful that the CC may be down to c. £5,000 by the end of February, which would be great. My 13th wage will take £1,800-1,900 off in July, so c. £3,100 to find by end of September so that we can apply for remortgages with no non-mortgage debts.
