No other symptoms bar reduced appetite, but that's to be expected.

Hi Ed sorry your little one is poorly and hope she is on the mend soon.
Great news about the 0% credit card. Just a question from me and apologies if you answered this elsewhere, but wouldn't you be better paying the minimum off your credit card each month and overpaying your mortgage which I assume has interest attached to it ?0 -
Sorry to hear that DD is not well. I hope the AB have kicked in for her. At least their temperatures soar and return to normal quite quickly once we work out what is needed. Such a worry thoughSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Mathematically, yes we would be better off doing this.
Paying off our CC debts carries a degree of "doing the right thing", righting the ship and learning to balance our day-to-day needs better as well as planning for the future instead of relying on cheap credit.
Going down this path has made me more aware of our finances, has instilled (slightly?) better discipline and generally more thoughtful.
Sometimes I think that we can all be too clever for our own good and this helps me to work through any negative financial impulses.
Luckily our income is going up in tandem. By the time these debts are gone, we will (hopefully) be remortgaged onto a much cheaper rate, will have had 4-6 pay rises and increments between us and will no longer have to pay for childcare.
We'll reassess then :coffee:

Ah fair enough. We all have to do the things that work best for us.
I often curse myself for being too clever for my own good, when I trip over our rather complicated financial arrangements :rotfl:0 -
Mrs E and I both have the lurgy. We are now worried that DD's tonsilitis won't respond to antibiotics and we all feel like crap
