£82.80 paid off a CC yesterday, will need to do another payment today. Just broke the back of a two day work task, so will see how the bank balance is after I finish printing it.
We are going to have a mini break in Edinburgh round about Easter time, we have found a cheap Premier Inn, so can afford it from our pocket money. I'm thinking family friendly fun on a bit of a budget0 -

I feel like our freedom has been kicked in the goolies.
One of our hoped for windfalls for this year has been holed below the waterline somewhat as it will be 1/3 of the expected amount (possibly less). I am irritated as Mrs E has miscommunicated something fairly critical.
Hey, I guess my pipe dream of clearing all the CC debt this year won't be happening.0 -

£3.58 paid off a CC.0

That sounds a bit cryptic. It is always disappointing when expectations are not met. You are going great guns at reducing that CC debt though - You were only saying a month or two ago that you were approaching the £17ks.
I do my final work trip tomorrow, meeting my boss at some offices 50 miles away for me to return my laptop and cables, passes etc. Two weeks in to no commuting and I recommend it - albeit I seem to be quite ill. DH thinks I am sleeping off the stress. I think it is more like a chest infection, that was looking like pneumonia at one point but I am on the mend now. A few lovely thank you notes to write to pass on to him (people say the most extraordinarily generous things when you leave). I will stop wittering...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2226.88/£3000 or 74.23% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Sorry to hear, disappointing to have a blow like that to your plans.

Hope you feel better soon, nice to be appreciated too but hope you also felt appreciated when you were working there?0 -

Apologies for being mysterious, it's a work thing and suspect Mrs E obliged not to discuss specifics! We will get there, it is tough being the finance bod in a family sometimes, doesn't it?
I am very pleased for you, the sunlit uplands will seem far warmer when your health improves0 -
I'm sure you are right. Unfortunately at the moment, we have that rare commodity, snow, all over the uplands and the lowlands, even here in the East. I am hoping my car covering melts before I need to take it out!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
