Halfords Autocentre Ceased my Engine

    The problem is that the tensioner bolt bust and the timing went to pot and Pistons hit valves etc. I just think youve been unlucky and as i said if the wrong plugs were put in it would have become immediately obvious however in 40 years in the motor trade ive not come across the wrong plug has wrecked a engine im not saying its impossible thou, Ive seen a focus that the plug broke up and it went straight throu the piston.
  • This seems to me a lot of people to-ing and fro-ing between halfords and Nissan and in all honesty a bolt broke letting the timing chain go and did a lot of damage, bad luck op Nissan can wash hands of it because 1.its out of warranty and 2. not been serviced within dealer network. therefore instead of making complaints, make enquiries on replacement salvage engine instead to mitigate costs.


    BTW halfords are not the best to take your car to.
