Nissan says, it is due to incorrect spark plug0 -
no nissan say your timing has slipped due to broken bolt on adjuster ,
the plugs fitted by halfords were not nissan brand , therefore they were incorrectSave a Rachael

Nissan have given two completely different causes. The initial technician gave a barmy one about spark plugs and then the senior technician gave the actual cause.
I suspect tbh the initial technician was a trainee and has removed the spark plugs to look inside the engine, seen their tips are broken then concluded that 2plus2 equals 50 -

1) Halfords fitted Spark Plugs
2) Engine Seized
3) Nissan report says 'Incorrect Spark Plug is the cause of Engine Seize'
4) Halfords looked at the vehicle again and now saying that the issue is due to cam chain losing tension. This they did after I raised a formal complaint.

Why are arguing with the guy who took the car to the places and knows who said what.
He complained to Halfords after Nissan report and the HALFORDS senior tech investigated and said timing jumped. Try to stop being a !!!! for once in your life.0 -

Do you have the Halfords report now?0 -
Jesus. Sorry for blaming you for the "technician's" illiteracy.
And the other report?0 -

Halfords Autocentre changed spark plug and Ignition coil as the vehicle engine had a overheating problem and struggling while driving at low speed
Took the vehicle to Halfords again after 2 weeks as the issue was not resolved and they changed thermostat.
A week later Car broke down and took it to Halfords they doubted that the Engine has Seized.
Took the car to Nissan and after investigation Nissan Gave me a Report saying Engine is ceased due to incorrect spark plug fitted.
Raised a compliant with Halfords, quoting the invoice from Halfords for changing the spark plug and the report from Nissan, their Senior Technician again checked the vehicle and now Halfords is saying the engine Seize is not due to the spark plug and the spark plug fitted by them was the correct one.
Spoke to Nissan again and they are sticking to their report and saying the Spark Plug fitted was incorrect one.
Where do I stand now and what to do next?
Thanks,

2013 model, I am sure a new engine would be feasible, just a matter of who pays for it.
I assume a 2013 Nissan would be out of any warranty, so Nissan have no reason to blame Halfords falsely.
Did they know Halfords had fitted the plugs, more details of the type of plug would help you understand what went wrong.0
