Declutter - Sorted a DVD drawer out so going to look at music magpie to get rid of a few in one go. Anyone done this is it straight forward?

I've used them - although I personally prefer Ziffit. May be worth downloading the apps to your phone so you can quickly scan the barcodes in instead of typing them in. Can also scan into both MM & Zif and then see which pays the most for each item (save the trade, rather than complete it) Also go through either t0pcashback or quidc0 first to make a little bit more :)

Organise - surveyor coming on friday (eeek!), posted birthday gift for step gran 3 days before the birthday so should get there in time. On top of accounts.

Value for money - not spent much so yes

    Exercise - oops

Mental heath? fine thanks for asking

Be Xmas Ready - not a hope in Hull!

Eat well - scales rising, may be eating not wisely but too well.

Reporting in daily- aye aye captain!

Grateful for lemon flavoured paracetamol drinks which are keeping my cold in the background, for very lovely hot water bottles, for the very dangerous salted caramel coffee syrup I did for the kids in hot soy milk. It went down very well. For the flapjacks I made last night (maple flavour golden syrup is a marvellous creation) and for thinking of saving and wrapping 4 for lunchboxes before they saw them. For stumbling across the first episode of Babylon 5 on PICK - I lived with boys who loved it, but I was often out so never got into it 20 years ago, will give it another go now I am a hostage to kids in bed and have a new episode every 24 hours.

Keep warm, my lovely Turtles! It is getting chill out there.

  • Well, a fair few frogs were eaten today. Made two appointments that I've been puttng off for ages. Sent a difficult email to some friends and got a reply which suggests that an uncomfortable situation may be resolved. Booked flights and train journeys for our European trip in January and February (booking online terrifies me but C refuses point blank to do it!)

Organise - Did all the above but anything to do with housework has been left until tomorrow,

Value for money - Got some decent prices on the flights and trains plus some YS cheesecakes.

Exercise - Walked through the park to the Health Centre to put in my repeat prescirption. Beautiful day. The trees were gorgeous

Mental health - Doing all the above has certainly relieved the stress

Christmas - Bought a couple of gift vouchers and a present for my nephew. One of the cheesecakes will be dessert on Christmas Day.

Gratitudes – Getting so many difficult things out of the way.
    A lovely walk
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    NSDs - Still 8/12 :)

Organise - Sorted some things (bins, harvested some leeks, put some geraniums from the patio into the greenhouse etc) outside this morning, till it started to rain. HM meals using food we already have in, made chicken and leek pie for dinner (and enough left for another dinner) using the rest of the chicken I cooked over the weekend, and some mince pies for treats.

Decluttering - Put a set of pilsner glasses out for the CS. Don't use them, they get knocked over easily  Somebody who drinks Pilsner (whatever that is!) might like them though - I have only ever used them now and then for squash :D

Value for money - Got a voucher code and a special online offer for a case of wine, so bought one for Christmas (will do for gifts and some to drink at home). Not counting this towards the supermarket / food spend, as it is paid from Christmas budget. Is this ok?

Exercise - Just the dog walks today :o

Mental health - A bit 'meh' today :(

Be Christmas ready - See above re wine. Also cooking the Christmas puddings I made yesterday in the SC. One done, one in, one to go.

Eat well - Not too bad

Grateful for - A good offer on the wine, OH's back feeling a bit better.

DawnW - I'd say it's ok for the wine to be included in Xmas budget - but am sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along to correct that if necessary :)

Clear Out - had a good tidy up in DS3's room today - result was that a pile of dried up felt tips went in the bin, along with some random McD's toys (recycled some bits where I could) 3 x sticker sheets went to shoebox appeal bag.
    Listed 3 items on fleabay

    NSDs - 2 - not one today

Organise - set your budgets now, pay to your debt/savings first
    Food - £202.44/ £400 -
    Fuel (me) - £54.45/ £65
    Social - £125.74/ £150 -
    Toiletries - £2/ £10
    Clothes - £96.48/£100
Gifts - £248.91 - £4.06 cash spent at garden centre

Value for money - Went to local garden centre, as reward vouchers expire at month end. Had a mooch about. Also had a voucher for a free hot drink (expiring today) so chose a hot choc - had a till spit for £4 off £20 spend. As I already had vouchers to spend totalling £14, this meant I could effectively spend £20 and only pay £2. I bought some pink champagne truffles for me (can be from kids), some Xmas beers for OH (will be from kids), 3 x individual Xmas cards (needed from list - the last ones I needed) and a birthday card for DS2 (early Jan) - total cost £22.06, so the actual cost to me was only £4.06 :T I also swiped my reward card for more vouchers next time - and got another till spit for another £4 off £20 spend (expires early Dec) I have no definite plans to use it at the mo - but there is a possible Xmas present in there of a Sa55 and Be11e cushion for my mum, which costs £18 - so it might get used.

    Exercise - hmmm.....

Mental health -Same as yesterday (and the day before)- more sleep than usual is helping here, as it's helping physical well-being. Getting some Xmas stuff sorted also helping.

Be Christmas ready - Lists done on laptop. Can now start to fill in gaps and know exactly what is still to be bought.

Eat well - Yes :) Too much :)

    Report/ Gratitudes -
    * voucher for free hot drink - meaning I got the first till spit for £4 off (and the hot choc was lovely :D)
    * reward vouchers and till spits meaning bargainacious shopping! :money::T
    * DS3 being in a delightful mood :)

Electrician didn't turn up today :( No contact either :( Sigh........

Dawn - I bet you are so glad that your dh's back is improving. One of your earlier posts about it made me think of a S1mpsons episode where Homer is bed-ridden (on the couch) and has a bell which he rings constantly for Marge to get him something.

Today I am grateful for plenty of steps (18k), for a good counselling session, for more work on my bunting, for getting as thrifty a shop as is possible in sainz (gf/df stuff) with a voucher too, for the bus driver waiting for me, for getting a smear test - all done for another 3 years, for a glowing report about dd from her teacher, for our washingmachine.

    Was a spend day.
Value for money - Needed teabags. Had a 50p off voucher. Brought my lunch and flask of tea into hospital again. This saves me a lot of money.
Organise - Did a few things around the flat. This is the first time since my Mum went into hospital.
Mental Health - Still not having a good night's sleep.
    Grateful for:
My Mum eating a little more than she has done.
Getting home at a reasonable time.
    Good bus connections.
