Hi all turtles :j
Checking in: 13/30
NSDs: 7/15 no shopping for me today
Organise: Did quite a lot of painting, probably 3/4 of dining room. Sadly due to error on part of BandQ, will have to re-do some of it:mad:
Value for money - Technically the paint should have saved us money. Sent DH off with empty original tester pot (printed label with mix on outside & name of paint) plus it had the % of each colour. This info was also supposed to be saved on the computer under our name. I also sent him with the shade card. Belt & braces - right? Wrong. He came back with large tin of said paint, which once on the walls - and dried - proved to be a different - slightly darker - colour. More time will be now wasted as I will have to re-do the lighter bits I did yesterday. I haven't time to go there, complain & get them to do some new as the carpet fitters are coming Wednesday....but I shall be complaining to the shop, not sure if it will do any good but I do have the proof they gave us the wrong stuff.....I did indeed spend my birthday painting..
Exercise - nada
Mental health - Good
Be Christmas ready - Nothing today
Eat well - Not too bad...until supper when it was birthday meal time plus cake
Gratitudes - For my lovely gifts, most of which involve me going out on trips rather than actual items. Great cards from friends, and lots of well wishers..someone else cooking, always a joy:rotfl:New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . SFD number 5 yesterday - must do better.
My loan is now showing on my banking app (I opened it over a year ago so they must have changed their policy as to what shows and what doesn’t) Found it very motivational so transferred a small amount to round it down under the next hundred
Start my new role today as my friend’s maternity cover started unexpected yesterday. She is fine but been kept in for observation, she was trying to work until the very end but baby had other plans.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Lessons learned, think things might be tight in the new year for a couple of months as something has come up but I was made redundant years ago and learned how to live off very little so I know we will be ok and luckily I have a small rainy day fund. For a funny photo my hub took of my youngest- too long tp explain but very very funny- these little things make life enjoyable0 -

Achieved another NSD on Sunday, but that wasn't intentional. I was travelling from Norwich to Cardiff by coach and a variety of things happened that meant there were severe delays and I only made it on to the next available coach by some sort of miracle, otherwise it would have been a near 4 hour wait for the next one.
I was travelling with National Express and I cannot fault their service. They went above and beyond, they were great.
I'm hoping today will be a NSD, we do need orange juice, but I'm hoping OH will forgive me if I 'forget' to pick it up.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Day 14 # 18 Checking in.....
NSD - Still 7/12 isn't one today so may take advantage and go mad! So paid snack money, took cash out for DS haircut will also buy a birthday card out of the change. Need a few groceries and bought a Christmas present. DH also bought DS bike for Christmas (through my tcb so got a little bit back).
Organise - Will need a few groceries so will update figure later or on tomorrows post.
Value for Money - DS bike was half price (apparently) and earned money back from TCB. They also have a referral offer on so may try to recruit a few friends for that. Birthday card from c@rd factory will be cheap and I will look for branded medicines from bee&m.
Exercise - Parking by school as need to go into town for DS haircut and trying to beat the after school rush however will be parking in town at the supermarket (free parking) and walking to barbers so that equals the same if that makes sense
Mental Health - Full night sleep and being organised is helping still worrying about money but I'm already planning for what I can do differently starting in January and limiting the damage until then. I'm making myself eat a bit more regularly surprised how less grumpy I feel. Watched a Christmas movie last night. Reminded myself its not supposed to be all about lists and stress so a reminder to enjoy the run up too!
Xmas/DS Birthday - Sorted the cupboard I've been storing the odd things I've bought for stocking fillers so I know I don't need anything more. DH bought the bike and an item has been delivered just needs picking up from Post Office. MIL big present for DS has arrived so that's been checked and hidden.
Eat Well - This is going ok more eating well than healthy but that's good as sometimes I don't eat all day then pig out at tea time. Regular eating is also helping my mood.
Be Grateful - Life is good and if all I have to worry about is money then so be it.
Declutter - Sorted a DVD drawer out so going to look at music magpie to get rid of a few in one go. Anyone done this is it straight forward?
O/D - Hmmmm have saved £13 towards £1500 overdraft however I may need to use this until 1st Dec so not feeling great about this!
