Hi all, checking in for today and yesterday as well. Had a rough few days here, as OH hurt his (already poorly) back over the weekend and since then have had rounds of doctors, pills (him) and (me) running up and downstairs as he has parked himself in bed for the duration
I swear that if I were a more sympathetic nurse and prepared to run around with bedpans and things (which i am not :rotfl:) he wouldn't even get up for the loo  Must try to get him up and about tomorrow as the doctor said he must move around more.
Anyway, I have managed to bag an extra couple of NSDs, nothing spent except for some over the counter medicines from the pharmacy to complement the cocktail of prescription goodies he is on  and I gather health related spends are exempt, yes?
Apart from OH's bad back and drama queen tendencies, nothing much happening. Trying to keep on an even keel with it all, but the house is getting into a bit of a mess and I find that gets me down a bit. Hopefully I will get a good night's sleep tonight (thank heaven we have a spare room!) and start to get it sorted out tomorrow0 -
Hi all turtles :j
Checking in: 7/30
NSDs: 4/15 Not today as predicted, always manage to find something in our CS to buy, plus I always do grocery shopping as well as there's a Lidl virtually next door. Will also shop tomorrow as the hairdressers is very near to Aldi, HB & M&S. it's a bit like supermarket sweep though as I always go before my appointment and can never tell how the traffic will be, so I usually have to whizz round super quick....instead of my usual dawdle..
Organise: Have started taking stuff from the dining room down the cellar - mainly bottles of booze off the unit that needs moving in preparation for emptying it. However DH is on board with it - so he says - and will help to clear over the next couple of days...
Value for money - Gritted teeth & examined contents of fridge in kitchen to see what needed using first. Should have done this before shopping of course. Luckily nothing much was wasted & managed to make lunch & evening meal from there.
Exercise - Not unless you count 4 hours sorting in CS. place is undergoing a type of refit & also a change in methods of pricing etc, has been in chaos. New system now put back to 22nd. We'll see..
Mental health - Fine today although quite tired. Managed to get stuff done in small bursts.
Be Christmas ready - Found another couple of small gifts in CS.
Eat well - Yes back on it today as the scales being very unkind this week. Got on 3 times & they still said the same so I had to admit defeat!
Just leapt up from computer as loud growling followed by fighting sounding from downstairs hall. (was dogs, not family lol). Always sounds awful but only handbags really...problem was pompom removing dog had found DDs discarded banana on top of the hall console & decided to defend it. As his opponent is a 7 stone dog, he's pushing his luck. DH had emerged from living room at about the same time & threw offending banana up the stairs. Don't think I will be able to save it tbh
Report - Gratitudes - Happy to have produced a decent meal from the fridge, also used up one of the several 10p tins of bamboo shoots in my Chinese type dish. For amusing pets even if they drive me mad. For DH being on board with the clearing (at last)
Sorry to end the eggy saga Pauper1 - will have to go to the farm shop & get another 2.5 dozen...DH swears he will buy no more after the ribbing he got from us :rotfl:New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Yesterday WAS a NSD so now on day 2/12. Today will also be a NSD as I have all lunchbox tat ready for Thurs/Fri and am having a 'staying at home doing silly little annoying stuff' day
Organise- remortgaging through free broker. So many stupid little bits of info. so many forms, so many phone calls, but worth doing.
Value for money - 0.5% interest drop will mean a 30p a day saving. Worth doing.
Eat well- I did
Mental Health - Finding kids really annoying at the mo. They seem to think they are too good to pick up their own mess. That makes me ratty and then that makes me sad that I am ratty with them.
Be Xmas ready - planning and plotting still
Exercise - wallpaper stripping

Good luck for your meeting today Fmess
NSDs - yesterday makes 3/18.
Organise - £32.62/£150 food, £44/£50 social. Finally phoned for a repeat prescription, have been meaning to phone for a week.
Value for money - nothing here
Exercise - just the usual walk to and from work, really need to go for a run/to the gym as haven't done so far this month.
Mental health - fairly draining day at work again yesterday and didn't feel like I achieved much. Felt better after doing some baking and watching a few episodes of my favourite TV show. Went to bed really early again last night, it's definitely helping.
Be Christmas ready - I finally made my list and budget. Didn't manage to get my savings out though as I phoned after work and didn't realise that they shut at 4.30.
Eat well - pretty good with this although obviously had to eat a few of the biscuits I had made
Report - 7/11, grateful for a NSD, biscuits and my bed.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.7.25 - £106,653.66

DawnW I hope your husband's back is improving soon and Fmess I hope the meeting went well.
NSD today, gym and HM lunch to work.
Will try and make Burmese chickpea tofu tonight (to use up some chickpea flour, I'm a meat eater but tried this before and it's quite nice) and try to cook a few more healthy lunches for me using up store cupboard and freezer items (quinoa, various random veg etc.) and make use of my spices a bit more again.
One of our upstairs radiators isn't heating up and the TVR looks a bit squint (old on from 30 years ago, gets knocked often when walking past). Will have a look tonight or maybe just phone the BG guy (got a care plan).

NSDs - Today should be 2/12. As I had to get shopping yesterday I ordered some vitamins to collect on Friday and I tried to buy some curtains from Ikea but failed. I think we might try to pop down next week as the delivery date wasn't until the 5th December!
Organise - Groceries £137.98/£200
Petrol £0/£150
Value for money - I can only get DS's vitamins from Superdrug so I ordered mine and DH's at the same time as they were on 3 for 2.
Exercise - only housework for the last few days, and same today.
Week 1 3/4
Week 2 0/4
Mental health - Yesterday ended up being not great. I think it's being cooped in with a poorly DS. He's going to my mum's this afternoon, thank goodness, cos he's rather hard work when he's ill.
Be Christmas ready - I've sent my list to my family, and did DH's for him as well because he can never think of anything!
Eat well - We've had a smoothie and cereal/crumpets this morning, so we've started off well! Think it's pitta and hummus for lunch, and pasta bake for tea. Could be worse. I'll sneak loads of veg in the pasta.
Report - Grateful for my new WM as the nappies came out smelling beautiful! Also for Nanna Daycare giving me a break this afternoon and for the magic that is Calpol (or cheaper alternative).Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Day 8 - #18 Checking in....
NSD - Still 4/12 need to buy a gift bag and need for tonight so can't tag onto another spendy day.
Organise - Grocery budget still £73.47/£283 I have an order coming tonight should be under £70 but will update correct amount tomorrow. Pleased as included a birthday present. I have balance transferred my MBN@ 5.9% balance to Bcard. Bcard have a higher min pymt so should see this coming down quicker and interest free
Need to rethink my personal spends or pocket money as a weekly cash amount isn't working for me. I've rejigged a few things and starting afresh (if that's allowed) I now have £68.54 left for rest of month. I have made a few more lists in my pocket note book.
Value for money - t£sco free delivery trial.
Exercise - Beautiful autumn crisp day today so will definitely be parking further away on the school run today. Its by the shop I need to go to for the gift bag too.
Mental Health - Was awfully worried about my sister as she has started a new business and not coping well. She has decided to go back to old job. Huge relief for her and I feel better too, just sorry it didn't work out for her. DS had a sleep after school yesterday so was up late but we were all asleep by 11 (bit late for me) but all slept through. Feeling tired today but I know why so that helps!
Xmas/ DS Birthday - Finally posted party booking form. Confirmed a date to meet a friend for our Xmas catch up.
Eat Well - Added banana again today and drinking water. Out for tea tonight but as its mid week won't go mad!
Be Grateful - I'm grateful for my Sister sorting her situation out, for the sun shining and for this forum also the scales showing I'm 2lbs lighter today
Declutter - Remembered to put out charity bag, sold an item to another distributer that I've had since the summer, sorted through my cleaning supplies and realised I have a product I was going to order again, cleared out my fridge and freezer. Not much wasted but couple of ood items. We have an American style fridge freezer and the freezer bit is so empty. I don't batch cook where is best to do a frozen food shop to fill it up a bit?
Overdraft - Had to rearrange this a bit as starting again! £5.86 saved towards/£1500.00 so £1494.14 outstanding.
£20 Weekly Cash budget - Changed this back to pocket money spending so for rest of month I have £68.54.
