Mental health- not in a good way today as my FIL basically laid into me about my weight last night. I had a baby a year ago and put on a few stone and have lost 1 so far I know I need to lose weight but now feel absolutely rubbish abd want to hide away.
:
Well I hope your F-i-L is a proper Adonis to feel he talk to people like that.
You know what they say - I can lose weight , but you will always be a (insert favourite four letter word). Have a dodgy hug:grouphug:4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 1/15 DS1 wanted to go to town to pay in his cheques so £1 parking.
Organise - as I was in town I took advantage of the market and got some lovely bargain fruit and veg, also sorted all the coupons I have for various stores into groups so they are all together.
Value for money -used the loyalty points from the gelato card to get 6 free scoops of sorbetto and had them put into a takeaway pot. Also got a free T Shirt. Did everyone for a little bit of luxury after lunch. Everyone happy - quince, pear and ginger, and dark chocolate sorbetto. Lush. Also stealing *trek Discovery off internet for free. And contacted L&C for free remortgage advice like what Martin says to do.
Exercise- an hour wandering around town
Mental health - good thanks!
Be Xmas Ready - starting to make plans
Eat well - the sorbetto was fat free does that count ?? Had a lovely morroccan style vegetable stew and couscous for lunch. Packed with aubergine, leeks and peppers.

Laurah1 Some people can be really insensitive. Ignore him. His opinion doesn't matter.
Greent Marrakech? Go for it!
NSDs- NSD 2/12. Few things to buy before we go away but not much. Needed a card for a wedding we were invited to but cannot attend
Organise!- I’ve had a bit of a quiet day today but meals for today and tomorrow are coming from what we already have.
Value for money!- What we did buy was a cheap as it could be.
Exercise!- Walked to shops and back.
Mental health!-Feeling really tired but still quite positive. C spoke to his brother last night about a situation which has been bothering all of us and it looks as if it’s about to be settled. A weight off all our minds. Had an e mail from a friend about our holiday in December which has also resolved a bit of a difficult situation.
Be Christmas ready!- Thanks for the suggestion, Foxholes. I don’t think it will suit anybody I still have to buy for but might make some nice donations to my cousin’s church’s Christmas Fayre.
Eat well!- Not incredibly healthy but at least no snacking.
Gratitudes – Just had a little nap and going to have a early night.
Hoe you're all having a nice weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
NSDs -2 /18 I will do my fresh shop tomorrow and then one top up day in the week as per usual. It is payday next Friday so I will have a bit more to spend but I will still only do it on my set days.
Organise - I have decided that while I do my daughters advent I will also do a reverse advent for the food bank and a box for the shoe box appeal (this year will be the first I will have done less than 4 boxes but I have asked family to participate who haven't previously to make up for it)
Value for money - bought home the misfed paper from the work printer for daughter to use for notes when doing her homework.
Exercise - still a big fat 0 on this, I think i need to schedule it in as a commitment instead of trying to decide at the moment I have some spare time as I always seem to find something else that needs doing.
Mental health - I asked myself how I feel today and it was slightly less than good, I asked myself why and its because of a few work issues. I told myself they were minor things and decided they weren't worth worrying about. I feel better now. I do this in my car in the driveway (sometimes solo) as me and my daughter have a rule about bringing stress and negativity into the house. We sit in the car in the drive like loons talking through our day, we have the windows down so the rubbish doesn't stay inside the car and it literally clears the air. I am aware to some I may sound like i'm a bit nutsey betsey but I have developed a few coping mechanisms over the years as I have been in a bad way in the past. It works for me and also means we have time to converse without distractions and this leads to a feeling of contentment that we both have a platform and an outlet for things that would be buried daily if we didn't do this.
Be Christmas ready - also winter ready, I made sure the car was done and today I have done a pj/hat/scarf/gloves/hot water bottle inventory so I know whats needed this year.
Eat well - This doesn't happen on a Saturday, we eat what we want on a Saturday guilt free.
Thankful for - Having choices.0 -
laurenh1 for me there was nothing SURE to send me to the comfort eating cupboard than someone TELLING me what was wrong about my body. When I was ready I dealt with it - you already are. Don't let them get to you. Your life not theirs.
Today DD2 helped me make the party bags. I also managed to get the first coat of paint on the living room walls after hitting the market first thing, then had to drop off mums order too. I've done that much today!
DH paid for the party drinks, but we had to head home early to get DD2 in bed.
Had to buy a new top for DD1 as she had nothing partyish.
Budget: 96.00 Meat for the month took me over + DD1 Top. Considering a clothing budget.
Christmas: Ordered the 'Big Meal meat' from the market butcher. Should see us through till boxing day
Eating well. Pizza...an end of week treat/at party. Normally make my own, but yum!
Mental Health: Feeling positive, getting stuff done and a boost to self image helped today.
Exercise: Usual running around.
Thankful for: Having the motivation to get on, and a DH that can keep the kids entertained while I painted. DD2 remembering her manners...just at the party. Quality time with DD2 crafting.Debt Free April 2019:j to July 2019NEW WTC:eek:1,194

Day 4
Hugs to those in need of them.
Clear out: Just did a little bit paper decluttering(recycling) and a few bits where you can recycle bottles etc in the bins is a short bus journey(recycling bins that are allocated on the streets).
Was a spend day as went food shopping. Notebook updated.
Organise - Wrote a list what was needed to done today. Took my time doing the shopping and errands.
Christmas - Got 2 veggie roasts for Christmas and New Year. It is the frozen section of the shop and now they are in my freezer. Just need to get my Mum's turkey breasts for Christmas and New Year and just a few extra bits from M&S. Not going overboard with food this year.
Mental health - Finally brought camomile herbal teabags today. Another frog dealt with. Will be bringing some into work as well. Reading the book/study guide regarding mood, behaviour and decisions again today. My physical health is also affecting mental health as I am in pain. Inflammation of the thigh bone which also is affecting my lower back. So have been resting and chilling out after I did the things I had to do this morning. Did go back to bed this morning for 2 hours and had some sleep.
Value for money - Did have a 50p money off voucher for some sausages, so used that. Managed to get price guarantee voucher - 64p, so will use that next week. Have managed to complete a 2 surveys.
Grateful for:
Achieving what I needed to do today.
Having some rest.

NSD - still on 2/12, had to buy milk this morning, and then icing sugar as my grand daughter wanted to make cupcakes withcherries on top and I had run out of icing sugar to stick the cherries to the cake! £2.14 spent, and added to grocery / household spend in my signature. Also bought some firewood.
Organise - Will need to do a proper shop tomorrow, though not a very big one. Have started making a list.
Value for money - Managed to get a bargain load of firewood today
Exercise - Traipsing up and down the garden with loads of firewood did the trick!
Mental Health - Nothing to add here today
Be Xmas Ready - Nothing here either - looked after my little grand daughter for most of the day (when I wasn't hauling firewood!)
Eat well - Made a big pot of chilli with lots of veg tonight, and there will be enough for tomorrow as wellAlso made cherry cupcakes with my grand daughter, but I didn't eat any :AAnd some scones at OH's request, and haven't eaten any of those either, or not yet. I did have a glass of wine though!

Grateful for - Cheap firewood, cuddles with my grand daughter and a nice home made meal
Lauren I can't imagine why your FIL thought it was ok to make rude personal remarks  As others have said, you can lose a bit of baby weight when the time is right, but it sounds as though he needs a personality transplant, which would be much more difficult!
Kerry Woman hope you feel better soon.0 -
DawnW - Thank you. Thankfully I have a GP appointment already booked for this Tuesday. See him on a monthly basis.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130

Thanks everyone. Your comments have cheered me up. Im not even massive (size 14) but I have put on weight and I am slowly getting it off but I used to be much bigger and I have a real complex about my weight, I hate eating in front of people, and comments about my weight really get to me. Anyway I have 40 quids worth of pizza vouchers to use tomorrow so the fat lass wins again but I am on it Monday haha!!
Ivw made a short list of things Id like to get done over the month; clean car, sort toys in time for Xmas, sort through my clothes and sort though my make up.

Today I am grateful for a bonfire and fireworks, for the adventure of walking there (30 mins) in the dark - most of the route has no street lights, for dh finding some things for his mum's bday, for finding a gf/df advent calendar for dd, for finishing a bunch of bunny arms, for finishing our two love-in-a-box boxes, for wearing my recently finished warm woolly hat to the bonfire, for the chance to catch up with some old friends, for the lingering smell of bonfire on our clothes.
I love bonfires!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
