  • I wonder if it's possible to ask Martin Lewis to spare a few quid in compensation for the editorial failings of his team.

Looks like you need to do all 3 in the first 2 months to receive the gift card.

  • Thanks to everyone who has commented. I have received far more than a £20 Amazon voucher's worth of enjoyment debating in this thread. It's been eye-opening.

I did write to MSE but only so that they could either reiterate they agree with me, or change their advert so that more people do not waste their time like I have done following incorrect advice. I do not hold MSE responsible for being wrong, if they are. And I believe they are not.

    You should.

    If they’re wrong, they’re wrong.

And as a “financially savvy” company they should know what the terms and conditions are before they start recommending an offer to people.

MSE thrives on encouraging individuals to hold banks to account financially for misdeeds.

MSE earns from the affiliate links they promote.

    MSE wrote the misleading article.

    You should hold them responsible.
  • "You will be eligible for the Amazon Gift Certificate if you use your aqua card, your monthly payment is received on time and you do not go over your credit limit in each of your first two statement months. The Amazon Gift Certificate will be sent to you via email in your third statement month. "

I am afraid my interpretation of the above is the same as many on this thread.

Each action needs to be completed in each of the first two months for the certificate to be sent in the third statement month.

A couple of commas would have helped to make it clear to all though, I do concede.
