Ah I see. It won't let me set up a regular direct debit, just a one off each month. Apprently a lot of people have this issue, so I end up manually doing it. I also have a Birmingham Midshires account, so that's two direct debits for £1 a month.

With BM Savings it actually sets up 2 mandates on your linked current account - one of these is used for regular monthly transfers whilst the other is used for one-off transfers. So if you don't mind having to do things manually, you can actually get 2 DDs out of one account :j

As for your PO saver question - yes, you can link multiple issues of PO Savers to the same current account. I've had issues in the past changing the linked current account from my PO savers so multiple PO savers service the same current account, but if you nominate the current account when you open the PO saver then you should be okay having multiple accounts linked to the same current account!

Oh that's what it's for. I never knew why I had two set up on my Nationwide FlexAccount. How do I tell them apart?

Thanks. I'll open another now for PO.

PO 35 actually let me make my DD regular, shock. Tried opening PO 36, said try in a few hours.

I've made one of the BM DD's recurring now too.

I think i tried using the 2nd bm savings dd with bos vantage and it didn't meet their criteria for triggering higher interest. I could be remembering wrong, but beware.

IS there are limit to how many Post Office Online Saver's you can have from the same current account? I already have Iss 35, DD funded by a Nationwide FLexAccount (which I only use to fund their Regular Saver). Can I open no 36 I think it currently is, linked to the same account? Or does it have to be different?

I'm trying to line up my Tesco Bank Current Account to make it available to switch to M+S, which requires 4 direct debits.

I've got about 15 PO Online Savers, some of the same issue, but mainly of various issues.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

    I'll try again tonight.

I must have already set up a regular DD on my BM account, and not realising I set up another. Now my Nationwide DDs show three BM mandates. One for one offs, and two for regular deposits. I don't know which is for which now!

Trying to align DDs in order to move to M&S Bank.

Can you see my post above about the mandates? As you seem to know about how BM works I thought I'd ask you.

Haven't seen that one before! I'm not sure that there is an easy way to tell which mandate is which, unless the mandate number is quoted in the DD reference on your bank statement or something.

I'd assume that you have two active DDs set up and that one of the three is a dud - maybe pull a few quid through each of them first just to make sure they are active? Most banks will tell you the last time a mandate was used and the amount taken, so if you pull £10 through one and £11 through the other then you should be able to tell which is which. Then set up a few other quick DDs (eg. PO savings, PayPal, etc) to bring you up to 4 for your switch.

Ah okay thanks. I'm lining up to switch to M&S. I have the one off and the regular BM, and a regular PO 35. Website hasn't let me open PO 36 for 10 days now. I'll do a BM manual one for a different amount now.
