Should you apply for the second account whilst logged on (and if so, how?), or just as for the first account and BM find you're an existing customer from name/address, etc.?
I applied for my 2nd account last night.
BM website is not the most user friendly. You can't (apparently) simply apply for a new account when logged in, but if you start the application from the home page, and tick that you are an existing account holder, it asks you to log in from that application page. Hope you're keeping:o
My account was opened immediately and I was able to set up the DD from my desired linked account straight away, rather than set up from cheque book account & then change later.

Can you only have one linked account and therefore one direct debit from each account? Or can you add linked accounts to still operate eg three BoS, each with 2 DDs from two BM accounts?0

No.
At least, I suppose you could in theory change the DD every month so it pulls from B0S01 on 1st, from BoS02 on 12th and from BoS03 on 24th:cool:. However, I doubt even the most dedicated MSEer would go to those lengths. I definitely wouldn't.0 -

Have you seen the interest rates? Just awful..0.05% ....that's why they are not getting more.....but I shall not be moving the money out again(I didn't with Mr T either! )
Even if the above was intelligible it would be missing the point.
It was nitwits setting up £1 DDs that played a part in sabotaging Tesco DDs.
Some people never learn.0 -

Can each Post Office Saver Issue have a different linked bank account?
How often do they tend to update the issues?

Yes, each Saver a/c can have a different linked a/c.
Our issue 26 were November and the issue 28 were January. As it's currently on issue 29 it looks like they change monthly.0 -
