Sorry for the late reply, I will post the recipe later. It is just a quick easy pastry base for the pizza, but works really well. It is from one of my old recipe books. It doesn't need yeast.

    Homemade pizza pastry

    4 oz self raising flour
    4oz plain flour
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3 oz butter
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    3 tablespoons water
    little oil
    1 tablespoon grated parmesan

Sift flours salt and paprika and mix till like breadcrumbs. Mix lemon juice and water and sprinkle over mixture. Mix to a firm dough and chill for 1 hour. Roll out THINLY onto a shallow tray, brush with a little oil and sprinkle on the parmesan.

Add your tomato sauce and toppings bake in a hot oven 230c for 10 mins the reduce heat to 160c and cook for a further 15 mins or until the pastry is crisp and golden.

Don't make the topping too thick or the pastry will go soggy
  • To get it thinner it's worth rolling it out about 15 mins before you need it, then giving it a final roll just before you use it...the dough seems to relax or something while it's sitting there...

I've never pre-cooked it before adding the toppings, I just roll the dough out, leave it for half an hour, whack the toppings on, bang it in th'oven and Bob's yer uncle.
  • i make my pizza dough in my BM, then i roll it out and put it to rise for about 1/2 hour in a warm oven, then i just bung my toppings on.

hope yours turn out nice however you decide to do them

I live in rural Spain, and we can't get strong flour for breadmaking, so have to rely on shopping trips to Lidl to stock up on bread mixes.
Today in a local spanish supermarket I came across packets of mix for Pizza bases, will it be possible to make bread with these
