Try using muffins to make mini pizzas! They just need grilling and are great for lunchboxes ;)

I do this too,and also with pitta breads they go down a storm with the kids.
  • I bought some bread mix from Aldi on Thursday, sun dried tomato and parmesan and rosemary and something foccacia only 59p for the packet. Im not sure how many pizza bases I can make from those, but I thought it might make the bases more interesting. After a hm pizza I dont fancy shop bought ones now.
  • You can make emergency pizzas with pitta bread and tomatoe puree.
GreenFingers, That pizza looks fantastic. When are you going to invite me to dinner?

  • My OH loves his HM pizzas. Makes the dough in the BM then normally does all different toppings but uses the mozzarella from Lidls and this does 2 pizzas, so at 46p a packet is very good value.

Thanks little-lil, I'll have a look for a pizza stone. I've heard loads of people talking about them but I didn't realise what they were for :o . Will you let us know if it cures your soggy bottom problem? ( :D;))

2 pounds, 3 ounces (1 kilogram) strong bread flour
    1 ounce (30 grams) sugar
    1 ounce (30 grams) salt
    1 ounce dried yeast
1 pint (565 milliliters) tepid water
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    Toppings, recipes follow

Can you skip out on the salt or is it needed for the yeast to start working? Not been funny but trying to reduce salt intake :D
