  • Okay so no more pay days until the new year.
I need to put £1500 in savings each month to hit my target by April of £6000 .

It's going to be tough but I know we can do it if we try hard enough.

January will be an extremely tight month as I don't know if I have to work a month in hand at my new job.
Basically I'll transfer money to the bills account for February out of Januarys income and every penny extra will go to savings.

I'm so determined to do this I just need to stay focused. I want to see that £17000 in my accounts by December 2019.
    Only another £16400 to go ! :o

  • I'll be £200 behind my target if I have to work a week in hand. So if I can get 3 extra shifts I'll hit the target. So I'll do some extra in January if I can. If I don't have to work a month in hand and I do this anyway it will bring us about £600 ahead of our target.

By the end of each quarter I want to ensure we are on track and hitting targets so we will achieve our target at the end of the year. If we fall behind it simply won't happen.

I'll also see if I can get some more stuff sold on eBay to help us on the way.

  • *a month In hand

When the kids go down for a nap I'm going to get partner to go through the budget with me as I still haven't done this.
Our budget says we have £17000 left over but I'm sure I've missed something off.

Also we did say we weren't going to renew the national trust passes this year. But I'm going to keep it in the budget anyway incase we change our mind in the summer

  • Going to go through the freezer and pantry see if we have enough stuff to get us through to the 1st before doing a food shop will be easier as the kids are off school so we can do things like pasta for lunch.

  • According to my contact for my new job (providing I have read it correctly) I'll be paid at the end of every month. First month being January assuming im still due to start at the beginning of January. (I have emailed them to chase this). Even so as long as my body allows im going to do some extra shifts in January to help bump start our savings. (I say if my body allows as I've been in a lot of pain this week with my legs) to the point im struggling quite a bit to walk ATM.

Currently sat doing my diploma. Little ones are in bed asleep . Eldest is watching Stuart little

    Today I spent £9
£5 on milk and loo roll
    £4 on posting eBay parcel

  • Morning everyone.
So the bacci ran out . And I've refused to buy anymore so close to new year when we were suppose to be quitting.
So today is quit day.we will both be vaping. From now on. Eldest woke up this morning before I left for work saw me with my vape and said well done mum for using your vape. Bless his heart.

I'm at work today and I've been sat out in the smoking shelter using my vape waiting to start work and tbh I feel better already
Also I've brought a 1 litre bottle of water instead of drinking tea. :j

Will update later on how day one goes ans how im feeling

Well done for quitting a few days early! It's such a difficult thing to do, I wish you lots of strength. And drinking enough water makes such a difference too!

You've got some amazing financial targets too.

All the best for 2019! :)
  • Evening all
I'm still in a rediculous amount of pain so I've given in and taken tramadol. I couldn't take the pain anymore.
Upside is I've stuck with my vape. And drank 2 litres of water today. NSD again today .

Off to bed now . Night all

  • Morning everyone.

Should be a no spend day today.

It's morning twoof quit day and I'm feeling okay.

One thing ive realised is my vape goes through oil fast .so i may look at investing in one like my partner's so the oil lasts longer.

Early night tonight as work all day tomorrow.

Boys are with grandma . So Myself and DD are just chilling.

    Plan today
    Yoga.
    Diploma
    Tidy and clean
    Stick to vape.
    NSD

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone
