  • Morning everyone.
Yesterday was a no spend day

I also was offered a permanent position where I go with the agency yesterday I turned it down as I am waiting to start at another Job. But I may consider their bank . I'd earn £21 more a shift than I do at the moment.
If I went there permanently I'd also earn £21 more per shift than my current job. That's about £63 a week (£3260 ISH a year for doing the same job .
I want to speak to them though as I want to be able to have progression in my career . So I want to find out what qualifications they can offer and what progression opportunities they can offer.

  • £932 in LISA

I've withdrew my savings from bricklane so that will also go into LISA once it's in my bank . (Around £200)

  • So I have a confession.

We went to the panto today that's not the confession.

So although I have quit smoking. Partner has just cut down . And that's cool . I'm cool with that.
So I rolled a fag and smoked it . Omg it was disgusting .... So I'll be sticking to my vape.

Other than that we had a lovely afternoon. Eldest got a shout out for his birthday. And two of the three kids got a photo with one. Of the actors.

Stopped at MacDonalds on the way home this was all budgeted for . It's an annual thing we do with all the family on my side .

Other than that nothing spent today

  • I start my induction tomorrow at my new job. It's for two weeks. Unsure if I will be paid for this as nothing is stated in my contract. Also not sure if I'll be able to fit agency shifts in. I've transferred what I planned to above so far . Bricklane money hasn't yet gone into my account so including that and my wages that are due Friday and sons DLA we have a definite total of £733 to be transferred.
This does not include if I am paid at the end of the month for my induction period and doesn't include if I can do a few agency shifts.
So far we have £1200 in our house fund so I am hoping we can find another £67 by the end of the month to round it up to £2000 by the end of January.
I have the money in my other account for next month's bills.

Ill be going to go onto my laptop and undated my front page with how much is saved in the house fund at the end of each month so we can easily see our progress.

  • Hello all.
Did my first induction day today
I'm paid for the hours of my induction but won't be until the end of Feb and then Feb shifts are paid in march etc.
    I'll get a pension at 3%
I'm contracted to 24 hours which i was going to ask to increase to 36 at a later date. But overtime is paid at standard of time and a half so I'll just do overtime as it will pay better. Occasionally if they are desperate they will pay double time.
I'm paid for all my hours I do training online even at home.
And there is opertunity to work your way up.
You also get a payrise with every completed nvq or diploma and there is always additional training you can take .
There is also a discount app you can use with certain shops etc.
They provide uniform and I get more holiday hours.
Overall it's much better than my previous employer . Previously I was on minimum wage not paid for if I had to work late. And it was minimum wage for overtime and he didn't contribute to my pension. And we had to buy our own uniform

The aim is to work 36 hours a week either topping up with my employer or with the agency more when I can but I need to remember as much as we want to save as much as possible as quick as possible I must look after myself.
