They’re really the same just the credit card has shifted from the loan, so loan to credit card balance. Moved over 3750.

It’s around 30k total. I’m not going to plan out too much until I get my US offer and know the deal. Not sure of my salary right now out there.

Ok I think I understand what you mean by figures!

If I pay the debts in 3 years:
I now save £1142 in interest

If I pay the debt in 4 years:
    I now save £1313

Amazing how much of a difference that shift in a balance can make!

My friends got a florist business, it’s a guy, random ambition... Anyway he’s just sent flowers to the girlfriends house! He’s doing it for free as he missed my birthday. Nice guy. Not too worried about my debt situations she’s broke as well, she’s out of work currently bless her, but her last job only paid her £17,000! She lives with her mum so I’m hoping this brings the family on my side. I was upfront about my US situation, she seems cool with it for now.

Got 3 Ebay sales ending shortly, a sky WiFi booster, external hard drive and a spare router.

  • Wonderful news about your possible save on interest and especially your new girlfriend! Make sure you’re nice to her!
It sounds like she’s ideal if she doesn’t expect you to flaunt your cash! You’ll be able to do free things together!

I’m nice always unless I’m hungry. There’s nothing worse than when I’m hungry. I’m so excited to have someone to eat with, she’s a big foodie which is totally my thing. We might grow old and fat together.

On a serious note, for the people I care about I’m an amazing guy. Provided she doesn’t do something stupid imma be good. I don’t really play games, I’m not controlling, I don’t care if she has a tonne of guy friends. Provided she comes home to me I don’t mind if she has a slight flirt with other guys for some fun. I’ve never checked a girlfriends phone or messages. I do really try and listen when I know something is wrong, like usually when I sense something is off I will be like let’s meet wherever later and talk. It’s usually me who spots something is wrong before the girl mentions it, so I straight away try and sort things. I’ve never understood guys who can go days without noticing!

I think I’m good in bed lol, I take pride in myself, I’m quite spontaneous in life, I think I’m super romantic, like even a year into things I still do something romantic every week - usually a surprise.

I’d like to date myself as a girl. The issues are really once I get crossed, I can’t get over things and I always come out on top. Don’t cross me & im Prince Charming. :D

So I just did something, I basically looked on Glassdoor at the pay rates per level at my employer, and realistically looked at my promotion dates and timelines.

Looking at the numbers, by the target debt free date of 2021 I should be earning £70,000.

With me doing this move to the US, I had my meeting with HR and she said "you are our star performer" so I think my job security is quite high. The firms massive, all over the world so I doubt it'll go under. I also have got the highest possible pay increases 2 years running, my numbers here are based on average which I can hopefully beat... It feels good to realise in a few years time I will be in a position to easily put all of this behind me, and that this is definitely just a temporary hurdle to get over. Obviously it's also a lifestyle change e.g I will always track in my YNAB until I die now... I'm also feeling more confident of my debt free date, as naturally with the salary rises, I will be able to pay more off.

Sold some bits today, an old WiFi router, external hard drive I never use, and a WiFi booster I found laying around from previous tenants.

I need to get some stuff for work as I've lost weight and gained muscle and things don't fit well now. I feel really unconfident in my current work gear, don't have my usual personality shining out lol... So going to use the £60 or so (after postage and fees) to get a couple of shirts and trousers. Kinda essential purchases in my view.
