I gave 'bulked up' as an example. Yes it's on the surface (that's what we thought) but it's throughout the whole bulk bag. It's been laid out, it's rained, it's still there.

Hard rain or just a light shower? It need washing with a reasonably powerful jet of water to wash the sand and muck through. Rain often contains all sorts of dirt and is likely to leave it dirtier than before it started. As my neighbor knows only too well - you'll be needing to wash it regularly as it will soon look dirty

Good find, I didn't think they would allow it, so good they did, should help with their sales.

This is what they state in their T & C's,

'4.4 Natural products may show some colour variation. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability associated with such variations.'

    This isn't a variation, it's cross contamination.

    a) Paid by Credit Card, Section 75 claim sent to Credit Card Company.

    b) Lodged complaint with ASA.

    c) Contacted CAB yesterday, very interesting call, told to write to the company stating Consumer Rights Act include arbitration.

    d) If what CAB has told me yesterday is correct, then it's one that Trading Standards or CMA should pursue, for the good of all consumers.

Trading Standards don't get involved with individual complaints, they'll only step in if there is a pattern of behaviour from the retailer. As for the CMA, even the suggestion is ridiculous.

CAB give stock advice, not an opinion on whether your complaint has any value.

How much did you spend? The retailer might give you a small amount to get you to go away.

Yes, how many hours / days do you think it will take?

Less than you'll spend on here waiting for someone to agree with you?

Less than you'll spend taking this to court?

If it were a serious matter, then Trading Standards & CMA do get involved. I've emailed CMA, waiting for a response. I'm well versed on what CAB, Trading Standards, CMA all do or do not do.
