Best bank account for 18 year old non-student

Hi - this may be an info gap - for 18 year olds who aren't uni students and not working yet - final year A levels/college like my daughter.
She has a Santander mini account she wants to keep for the 3% interest rate and also have a daily current account alongside it.
The student accounts with perks seem to all insist on degree type courses. Teen accounts except Santander cut off at a younger age. Adult current accounts seem to have minimum pay in requirements and few perks.
Help!
Best regards and thanks Tim

Try a FlexOne account from Nationwide. If opened before an 18th birthday it will remain open until early-20s. Interest, savings rates, free cinema tickets are all features.0

Hi thanks for that - but too late - 18 at midnight and is branch application.0

The ones with pay-in requirements (note this is pay-in, not income) offer higher interest.Eco Miser

If you’re 18 or over, to be eligible for this account you should either be in further education or taking a gap year before starting a full-time higher education course.

Strictly speaking, A-levels are a form of further education,
Your daughter would appear to qualify for the Barclays account.0 -
At 18yrs old your daughter is eligible to apply for a standard current account.
They may need to take ID documents into a branch initially if they can't be electronically ID'd. If they are declined for a standard current account, they would normally be accepted for a basic account.
Have they got a preference to which bank they would like?
If they want to stay with Santander they can apply for their Everyday account.
http://www.santander.co.uk/uk/current-accounts/everyday-current-accountYou can apply for the Everyday Current Account online in just 10 minutes if you:
are 18 years of age or over
live in the UK permanently

I applied for one the other day and yes, it was very quick and the cards arrive through the post very quickly. I already had a santander 123 account so the everyday account appeared instantly on online banking.0 -

A degree of activity on the account is needed - my son having no money to put in it, had it closed down on him with no reason given despite the hoops we had to go through both to get the teenagers account and to upgrade to an 18 & on account.
I don't think he'll go back to Barclays again.0 -

That's what you get when you have a parent on mse.0 -
