Yep, totally balled at the end of my gig!

It's been a really good work day, the gig was obviously a bit emotional (in a lovely way) and the event tonight was great - the guy who hired me to run the events this month was there and he's so pleased he's asked me if I can come back for a few weekends next December :) Not sure it'll be worth my while, but if my personal life is falling apart it's nice to know professionally I'm doing something right! It's made me realise that event management is definitely something I want to get back into to go alongside the singing, I just need to figure out how to incorporate it into the business moving forward. AND he wants me to invoice him straight away for all the events this month so I'll get a nice payment on Tuesday which will bring the credit card back up to pre-phone levels

    Plans for tomorrow:

    - PAD
    - NSD
    - invoice for event management work
    - Gig
    - Volunteer shift
    - Try not to get bogged down in feeling rubbish...

I can't help but feel a bit sorry for myself about how my life has turned out: I'm 32, single, childless, about to move back in with my mum with £3000 and a 10-year-old car. I know I'm moping because I got dumped but I'm really unsure of myself. I was broken earlier this year when the break up happened with the guy I changed my life for, and just when I was mending my heart, my oldest friend creates a new wound. He's wanted to be with me our entire adult lives and when he got me, he decided I wasn't good enough. I'm not falling apart like with the engagement, but I'm exhausted. Being hurt and getting back up again over and over just takes so much energy...

I'll only get a few hours kip tomorrow morning and then I have two gigs with a few hours driving combined, so other than filling up the car, my PAD and a trip to the bank if I get time, I'm planning on doing precisely nothing productive.

Gigs, banking, refuelling all done. AND I cleaned the bathroom

Still feeling utterly rubbish but right now I'm focussing on planning my friend's baby shower and getting an early night.

    Plans for tomorrow:

    - PAD
    - Low spend day - I need to pick up a few bits from Mr T and the cinema is €6 on Tuesdays so I might go and see Paddington to cheer myself up
    - Update finances
    - Calls and emails
    - Work out
    - Start going over wedding music
    - Gig

I'll definitely get that lot done, anything extra will be a bonus!

I took myself off to see Paddington this evening - it was wonderful and I sobbed until the end of the credits :o I'm a softie at the best of times but at the moment my tear ducts are working overtime... Had a little extra spend on ice cream which felt a bit naughty on both financial and diet fronts and I don't regret either!

Had quite a large invoice paid today so I've transferred the funds to my UK account, once it's cleared I can start working on the website :j

    Plans for tomorrow:

    - PAD
    - Look at ordering protective case and tripod for phone
    - NSD unless I order phone stuff
    - Invoices for next week
    - Look over checklist for event on Saturday
    - Volunteer shift
    - Gig
    - Eat well
    - Try and be nice to myself!

I've just finished watching me before you, I absolutely cried my eyes out! It is one of the saddest films I have ever seen.

Well done on a productive day.

I love watching weepy films! I've not seen that one, I'll check it out.

I'm feeling a bit more positive and focussed today; although it's scary, for the first time in my adult life I have nobody's happiness to consider but my own. I'm beginning to think that 2018 will be my year :)

    - PAD Done
    - Look at ordering protective case and tripod for phone There are so many! I'm on the hunt for recommendations, I need to get them for work so they need to be right
    - NSD unless I order phone stuff Done
    - Invoices for next week Done
    - Look over checklist for event on Saturday Done, and phone call scheduled to finalise everything on Friday
    - Volunteer shift Done
    - Gig Done
    - Eat well With the exception of four Xmas choices, done (I even avoided the biscuits at my volunteer shift!)
    - Try and be nice to myself! Work in progress, but I'm trying

I'm going to try and do something little for myself every day as self care, so yesterday was the cinema. Today I gave myself an at-home facial - I already have a steamer for singing and I'm trying to use up my lotions and potions, so I cleansed, steamed, masked, scrubbed and moisturised and now I feel baby soft haha! I need to figure out tomorrow's treat :D and write my to do list, of course!
