Not out of date he. Standard support finishes 2020 so no security updates etc after that point unless you are a business with extended support
After that it will only be Office365 with its update policy similar to Win10 that will be supported.
So in a nutshell, the only Office for life is Office3650 -
Could have just reused the Office product key off your old computer and reinstalled the older version of Office on your new computer.
Not many folk actually need the latest super duper version of Office. I'm still rocking Office 2007 on my main machine. Does what I need.0
