The non stop strikes were caused by boomers striking for a fair day's pay for a fair day's work. Something that became a reality when we joined the EU.

The Tory nightmare of zero hours gig economy, non unionised transience that we are heading towards now is the biggest threat to British workers we have faced for decades.

Wrong again, I been on strike twice but both were not about money.

Let’s be honest, who really believes that the scandals now rocking Westminster are seriously matters of political life and death? The first time many people would ever have heard of Priti Patel was when the headlines started screaming about the ‘scandal’ of her holding some, apparently unofficial, meetings with Israeli officials while on holiday in the Middle East. To judge by the condemnatory tone of the media and political reaction, they might be forgiven for thinking she must have commandeered an Israeli tank and rampaged through a Palestinian village with all guns blazing......

Boris Johnson, has also come under pressure to resign or be sacked, for uttering a few ill-chosen words in support of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian woman jailed in Iran. Johnson suggested that it was wrong for the Iranian regime to lock people up merely for ‘teaching people journalism’ – a remark which apparently contradicted Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s defence line that she was in Iran only for a holiday with her young daughter. The furious reaction to this supposed Boris blooper made it sound as if the UK foreign secretary rather than the Islamic state was persecuting a political prisoner, with MPs demanding he be sacked and online petitions calling for his head.

    What’s going on?

They have been blown out of all proportion because they are being used as ammunition in the Battle for Brexit. The outrage around each successive petty scandal is being stoked and exploited by influential Remainers in politics and the media. They hope to get rid of pesky leading Brexiteers and perhaps even bring down the government, throwing the future into such confusion that the Remain camp can overturn the referendum result by default.

This is the other political scandal that needs to be highlighted now, far more important than all the others put together: you might call it ‘Remainergate’.

You seem to believe that British politics is a board game or a computer game.
We should (the British people that is) should hold their politicians to account.
We should demand honesty and integrity at ALL TIMES.

This should not depend on which side of an argument we stand.
What is rotten in all of this is that some one from one side can forgive a lie, evidence of inappropriate behaviour or financial improprieties and then will condem someone from the other side for doing exactly the same.

We are degrading Britains moral values and everyone should shout ENOUGH!

We all should be prepared to condem wrongdoing wherever we find it even if it is found standing at our shoulder.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Laudable I'm sure. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about most of the 60m people in the UK. The 600 odd in parliament - we could start there though?

Not that difficult - we might start by defining honesty as not telling lies perhaps. Baby steps.
But this is the thing about saying MPs should have higher standards, they should have high standards but everybody else should also have high standards.

If the her constituents are concern she will be voted out at next election.

Isn't this common knowledge to everyone?

I actually find it quite sad that many people's view of the competence of politicians seems to be based mainly on what their views of Brexit are.

I would struggle to think of anything that Boris has done well as Foreign Sec. , but he will be vehemently defended mainly because he's on the "right" side of the argument as far as some members of the public and MPs are concerned.

Equally most of Labour's front bench are Remainers but I think they are largely useless as well, I'm an equal opportunity hater!

I agree Boris is far from being a good foreign secretary and probably wouldn't be there is different circumstances. Then we have Diana Abbot who should never been shadow Home Secretary.
