Is this for the 'brexit playlist'?

I dont think it will make the cut after the vote at the end.

Of course not getting enough votes for your choice has never stopped remainers wanting their choice anyway. :rotfl:

Question I have is why do these doom and gloom reports keep getting "leaked".

A google search of "whitehall leak brexit" shows leaks going all the way back to before the vote. Had a check of 5 of them and they appear to get more dire as time passes - with this one, more than 2 years after the vote, being the best yet in terms of the fear factor.

There was another similar leak in Jan 18 claiming the UK would be "worse off in every possible scenario after brexit". https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/uk-worse-off-brexit-scenarios-leaked-government-analysis-eu-david-davis-theresa-may-a8184471.html

Are they leaked? Or simply released? It appears 2 before the vote were released rather than leaked, but at the time it was claimed it was all a leak.

It looks like all the reports use "off the shelf plans". Yet we've been led to believe there are no off the shelf plans to leave the EU. Which is it?

How about getting back to Hamishs point? That there is a high probability that the UK will run out of fuel, medicine etc within 3 days as a result of a no-deal Brexit? Implicitly due to EU imposed conditions that are out of our control.

As you well know, my response is, in so many words, thats tosh.
Well, I did at least try a brief riposte to Hamish first...

I don't think it'll be because the EU will impose conditions; it'll mostly be due to customs being unable to cope with the 17 mile queue of trucks.

We'd lose access to anything that needs special membership like Euratom for some medicines.

We're far too far behind to transition smoothly.

Because the unelected beurocrats in the UK, the experts, rtf. All think the EU is a disaster and the politicians are an embarrassment. They are leaking how bad the vs will be to shame our politicians into doing something.

Of course I'm not sure the Tories are capable of feeling shame.

Every option will have been considered and discussed. What the likely impacts would be. Impossible to have a plan though. As no one knows what precisely will happen in any eventuality. As with life. You simply get on with it everyday. Dealing with issues as and when they arise.

I don't see why politicians should feel embarrassed they are implementing the results of referendum.

No decision ever appeases everyone. Politicians have a thankless task.

Because every single study they've produced since the result shows us all worse off I guess.

Just watched 'Arlene' give a very impressive interview.

DUP 'proper' Tories and would get my vote if they ever stood in the mainland.

We need Arlene to negotiate Brexit.
