Or, as they say, the will of the people.
Referendum was nearly 2 years ago.0 -

Should be due a new one then
And again we come to the eu theory of asking again if you get the answer you do not want.
There is no way they would re-negotiate sufficiently to persuade me they were worthwhile, they simply do not believe in freedom. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Just like you don't believe in facts. That stuff gets debunked only a weekly basis.0 -

Not a week goes by without another story of another Home Office screw-up where deportation letters are sent to legally residing EU citizens. Or look at Windrush.
And we are supposed to trust them to deal with +3M EU citizens' registrations? You're having a laugh.
And this is exactly the problem.
The Home Office is either staggeringly incompetent or duplicitous, untrustworthy, and downright vindictive when it comes to matters of migration and migrants rights.
I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The EU we chose to leave in 2016 is becoming a vastly different entity and any future vote on membership will pose us different or more nuanced choices. If mainland Europe becomes anymore nationalist, what price a 'stop the world' moment where the remaining EU countries radically re-think its supranational end-game and come to the conclusion that the peoples of Europe are uneasy with that aspiration?“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Some of us think that it's already started. What happens in Italy will be the make or break moment.
At some point Brussels will runs out of cans and boots to kick them with.0 -

.
*Yawn*
The rabid anti-EU crowd said exactly the same thing about what happened in Germany, France, Holland, Austria, Greece, and of course Italy at least twice previously...
I also recall many Brexiteer proclamations that Ireland would be following us out the door.
Meanwhile, back in reality, Irish support for the EU has reached an all time record high....A full 92 per cent of the Irish population now support staying in the EU, with just 7 per cent supporting a theoretical 'Irexit' and 1 per cent saying they don't know.
The findings are likely to disappoint Brexiteers, some of whom have suggested Ireland might follow Britain's march towards the exit door, and that Irish departure could be a way of solving the border question currently plaguing Brexit talks.
And that increasingly pro-EU sentiment is already flowing over the border into Northern Ireland as well in a quite dramatic fashion...Northern Ireland would vote more strongly to remain in the EU if there was another Brexit poll, a study has suggested.
A total of 69% would favour Remain if there was another referendum compared to 56% at the vote two years ago
It does rather look like now that the reality of Brexit is becoming clearer, a large segment of the people in Northern Ireland have realised that voting for Brexit to give the 'the establishment' a kicking, was in fact just voting to give themselves an even bigger kicking...
It won't be long until other regions of the UK have the same realisation...As the polls are already starting to show.
Hence why the politicians are rapidly U-turning toward a Soft Brexit.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

At which point you'll be eagerly looking for another make or break point.
It's a weird hobby, but if it keeps you happy, I'm all for it!Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0
