No wonder the Brexit debate is totally pointless. Simply doesn't fit the real agenda of some individuals.0 -

So the NHS isn't having problems with funding or staffing?0 -
No because the roads are extremely congested, the trains are overcrowded and services are overstretched. Looking at empty fields does not tell you the whole story.
Indeed; I didn't say empty fields was the story at all. Infrastructure needs to keep up with the population. It doesn't because of poor planning and NIMBYism0 -

It's very difficult to improve infrastructure in the crowded parts of South East M25 around Heathrow is 6 lane and it is not unusual for it to be at a standstill.
Somewhere around 95% of the M25 runs through open countryside and could easily be doubled in width/capacity.
The couple of small parts that do run through heavily built up areas - like at Dartford Crossing - would be an expensive but relatively straight forward thing to fix wth the right investment.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

There is plenty of building going on in south east within a couple of miles from be there are 2 new developments consisting of over 5,000 homes not to mention numerous smaller developments being built or planned.0 -

Net migration running at, what... 300K per annum.
...and yet they acknowledge that there are staffing issues in the NHS.
What sort of FOM numbers do we need arriving to fully staff the NHS? 1m, 2m, 3m per annum?
It's a crock. If 500,000 trained fruit pickers and carpenters turn up, you still don't have any additional neurosurgeons.0 -
Obviously the migrants need to have the qualifications, like those 3000 doctors whose visas were rejected because of a net migration quota.
Migrants in general tend to pay into the pot but not use the NHS heavily. If they have jobs (and we can kick them out if they don't) then that me and more money for the NHS.It's very difficult to improve infrastructure in the crowded parts of South East M25 around Heathrow is 6 lane and it is not unusual for it to be at a standstill. The rail network is at full capacity.
Our Victorian rail network is approaching capacity, sure. Rail networks are capable of so much more.
Of course, there's also the rest of the country to improve.0 -
Of course there will.
Half our mass migration is from outside the EU. It won't change dramatically.
We won't have upgraded our infrastructure enough and people will still feel the need to blame something.
It's pretty obvious.
If that will be the case then there will be no need to blame the EU but place the blame where it belongs, on the British Government.
You are quite right about the infrastructure, it has always been that way. I suspect Britain does not have any money. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

this might sound weird, but there are a lot of people in this country that would rather live a more basic life so that it wasnt concreted over to make a few quid
The M25 is already a beast, it must add substantially to the already epic pollution in that area, and you want to increase that?0
