So when in your view does Team-UK commit the Brexit betrayal and inform the 52% that we're not leaving the single market? :)

We're not leaving the single market. That's been obvious for a long time.
We'll call it something else, though. Does that count?

    What betrayal?
Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the Single Market
    Daniel Hannan MEP
Only a madman would actually leave the Single Market
    Owen Paterson MP, Vote Leave
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

I think you're over thinking this.
Upset the 48% and they vote differently, upset the 52% and it's potentially a constitutional crisis. Soft or hard Brexit does not exist as it did not appear on the ballot paper.
If you want Brexit halted or watered down, vote Lib-Dem.

If you think the 52% will be outraged in a single coherent block, then you're under thinking it.

All these quotes you are making, don't suppose they have anything to do with this.

This feels like a bonkers argument, I know a handful of Brexit voters who don't even know what the single market is let alone if they want to be in it or not.

A risk that's easy to take as a poster on forum, not so if you're a major political party with a significant amount of leave voters as supporters.
Its only takes one leave voter to go to the High Court and challenge the 'betrayal' though.:)

I know loads of remain voters who owing to there lack of interest in or knowledge of the issues, just voted for the status quo.
I only know intelligent, well informed remainers.

And neither group will likely be outraged if we stay in the single market.

It's not a political gamble; is the number of people likely to be outraged by staying in the single market >50%? If not (almost certain) then staying in upsets the fewest people.

This is the problem with having some a small majority - you can't use it to extrapolate anything.

Right. So, you can't consider all the voters to have the same intention then?
