Lots of talk about good deal, sensible deal and no deal.

What about run out of time deal?

I assume the "deal" has to cover all the various items plus a trade deal. Is there enough time. Actually how much time is there.
Britain leaves in March 2019. There could be a transition period to the end of 2020 but that is supposed to be used to transition to the "deal"

Frankly anyone who could have forecast the strange way phase one has developed needs to step up and tell us what strange twists and turns we will see during phase two negotiations.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Nothing overtly strange so far. With regards to trade. This is entirely within the EU's remit. More likely we'll see real divisions of opinion. As country's adopt stances to suit themselves. Such as France and financial services.

Yes, after all it's not unlike the limbo dance and you can only go so low.
That point has been hit already & neither I nor anybody else could possibly go any lower.
BTW, regarding anyone having so many accounts as has been suggested, they might well have seen as I have such openly-stated suggestions being removed from the thread which suggests the inaccuracy of the suggestion does it not?

I think you're becoming sensitised to the total strangeness if everything seems normal.

Davis' bragging about the detail of analyses that didn't exist, for example, is just plain surreal.

Simply being pragmatic that's all. Rather than overreacting to the analysis of the daily media coverage.

That's old news. Time to move on. Even if they existed. There value would be worthless.

Brexit thugs' death threat to Tory MP who led push for democratic vote.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-dominic-grieves-theresa-may-rebellion-death-threats-a8111176.html

Yet again the ugly face of the Right proves indivisible from Brexitwinkers.

I wonder what the Express has to say about this, oh look 12 stories screaming about enemies of the people and another brace about aliens.

Does anybody remember when the idea was to have 2 negotiating teams and we would just leave them to do their jobs?

It was never ever ever going to work. The temptation from the likes of Xavier, or Merkel, etc etc, was always going to be too great.

I still think there is a big chance of May being portrayed as a neutered !!!!!cat rather than a strong business woman in kitten heels ! The temptation to teach a lesson from the EU will be strong.

In a way I don't mind, because personally I would welcome a harder line right wing government. I thought a Remain vote might have delivered this, but ironically, it might be the leftish EU who push the UK to a harder right position. History may repeat itself, who knows.

From what the EU say (well the PM of Luxembourg) it looks as if the amendment makes leaving with no deal more likely IMO. If the final offer is thrown out by Parliament, and the EU won't renegotiate, then we're out. End of.

The exit agreement requires ratification from EU member states. There's a long way to go. Remember the trade deal with Canada took 7 years to complete. Brexit as a whole is far more complex. With at the very least the Spanish yet to play their "Glbralter" card......
