    yeh i see 25bn as well but some search results show 5bn too. confusing. both mention trade account so the definitions seem to be the same.

    if it is 25bn, then of course thats pretty significant of their total net exports of 300bn. nearly 10%. either UK are stupid or germany are crazy. we should just walk out without a deal if they are playing hard ball.

    Germany has the biggest trade deficit with us— in 2015 it sold about £25 billion more to us than we sold to it, according to the latest UK data.

    Remainers love to paint the UK as a laughing stock nasty nation, in spite of us having nothing like the far-right influence seen on the Continent.

    Oh look;

    The European Union should be worried…very worried. Austria has elected a 31-year-old, right-wing, anti-mass-immigration Leader who is openly calling for the end of open borders. And he could be about to form a strong alliance with several other EU nations.

    Sebastian Kurz is reportedly eyeing up a solid partnership with Viktor Orban in Hungary and Beata Szydło in Poland. Both Hungary and Poland have faced the wrath of the EU in recent times for not wanting to accept thousands of migrants or overarching rule from Brussels.
    If Austria forms an alliance with Poland and Hungary, then it’s natural for it to form an alliance with the Czech Republic and Slovakia too, as they comprise the Visegrad Group that has stood against EU measures such as migrant quotas.
    Couple that with Brexit, the rise of the AfD in Germany, Greece’s never ending financial problems and, of course, Catalonia, and Jean-Claude Juncker has a hot mess on his hands.
    The EU is arguably weaker than it’s ever been. Those who reject open borders and dictatorial rule from Brussels now have the momentum – long may it last.

    Westmonster, a website launched by Arron Banks, and co-owned by Nigel Farage's former press adviser, says the EU is in trouble.

    :o
    Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

    The UK is going to become extremely isolated in the next few years, I wonder at what point will the stubborn Brexiteers accept their mistake.

    Let's see what their limit is

    There was a guy on Radio 5 Live this morning saying that with no deal once we leave we would only pay an additional 3.5-4% tax on imported goods and that that’s such a small amount that it would barely be noticeable.

    It’s true that it wouldn’t effect me significantly but I’m not on the minimum wage. I suspect that it would bring a drop in the standard of living to many.

    Sadly I was busy and didn’t catch the guys name or title but appeared to be his best case scenario.
