Rubbish!
Far more likely is "The EU probably think if they push the UK any further then the UK would walk away saying 'no deal' " !
I agree - the EU don't want the May government to fall. They want their money and there is no guarantee they will get it from any other leader.
Another fantastic day on route to those sunlit uplands.
What will the Remoaners aka as Fedralists do now?Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

That is only possible in the mind of a Little Englander.
For the rest of us that understand the need to deal internationally, we know it would never happen like that.ilovehouses wrote: »This is the first issue where the EU have conceded anything
What did they concede?0 -

i dont think there is any concern about governments failing, probably more that existing EU members will still want to trade with us, we make up almost 10% of the EU population, thats a lot of sales to be losing for business if not handled correctly0 -

Every single stakeholder should be looking at the Irish border and asking 'hang on; how is that deliverable?' It's a fudge to get things moving.
Sadly that was always likely to be the only way to get through Phase 1 on that particular issue0 -
Am I correct in thinking that this agreement means that everyone born in N Ireland will remain an EU citizen?0

Either Theresa May is lying and we'll implement a border between NI and the mainland or NI and Ireland, or she'll fail to deliver the border control that kippers triggered this mess for.
It's difficult to tell the most likely outcome, maybe she'll find a way to achieve all of them.
Yeah this is a series case of kicking the can down the road - nothing has actually been solved yet.0 -

I think so, looks like the DUP can have their cake and can now scoff it too.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

They don't want the government to fall because they don't want to have to start this farce from the beginning again. They'll have a much easier time dealing with any other leader.0
