According to remainers here and to some UK media the deal's near as heck done. The amount is settled and we're moving on. Apparently.

Has anyone told Barnier or the rest of the EU that?

The EU has not yet reached a deal with Britain over the “Brexit bill”, EU officials said on Tuesday, adding that some in Brussels were worried that progress on a cash settlement masked differences over other issues.

“We are not there yet,” the European Commission’s Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier told Reuters in Berlin when asked about British newspaper reports that his team had broadly accepted an offer in the order of 50 billion euros (£45 billion), 10 billion short of EU estimates.

I see some remainers have been unsettled by my posts and so resort to their usual tactics.

A team of four economists affiliated to the respected Centre for Economic Policy Research estimated what the likely path of the UK economy would have been if the referendum result had gone the other way.

"ESTIMATED."

Whereas the FACTS so far are:
300,000 or more new jobs created.
Industry and exports expanding.
Growth continuing (despite being told we would see "immediate and profound recession").
Increased visitor and increased foreign university student numbers.
And on top of that, officially as a nation we are becoming happier despite Brexit.

Which just goes to show that ESTIMATES are not everything.

It's a blessing to the forum that we have you as Defender of the Truth, tracey.
A bit more italics and bolded words in your posts would not be amiss to highlight the bits we need to pay attention to.
You know what I mean.
