Report by Morgan Stanley says general election likely in 2018, and Labour winning could damage valuations of UK companies
However, I think they are wrong. I don't think there will be a GE next year. The coalition will make it to 2022 imho and fwiw.0 -
So Frances Fitzgerald is resigning - is that the crisis over?0

Yes, God forbid they should have to start paying their taxes and providing proper contracts and a living wage.
I can see why they are so worried.0 -
Yet foreign workers and students continue to flock to this oasis of xenophobia and latent racism in an otherwise tolerant continent in their droves.

I see that the German MEP Olaf Henkel blames the EU for Brexit, comparing the relationship to one where the UK joined a football club for the EU to decide instead to play golf.

Note if you will that this MEP was voted into his position by his German constituents.0 -
Also today Turkey threaten the EU that they will withdraw from the refugee agreement if the EU allow Kurds to have a role in Syrian peace talks.
Don't worry though, because for sure these refugees will all return to Syria instead of entering Europe.

It's a shame Labour don't practice what they preach:Staff at Labour’s Newcastle call centre aren’t exactly over the moon about a 30p pay rise they’ve been given in line with this month’s increase to the National Living Wage. A collective eye-roll took place as party’s call centre operators were told in an email:
“We are pleased to inform you that in line with the increase of the Living Wage rate, effective from 1st December your hourly paid rate will rise to £8.75 per hour.”
Labour’s manifesto demands a £10 an hour minimum wage for all workers over 18…
Whilst Labour oppose workplace insecurity, party staff receive an eMail on Friday telling them what work is available the following week.
