I live in the Kent/East Sussex border.Born and bred on a Council estate , Comprehensive Educated and City & Guilds Qualified Carpenter & Joiner and as far as the working class element I've been there and done it. I've also seen how freedom of movement has adversely affected the poor so you can save your platitudes for your dinner parties in Luxembourg.
We used to have a carpenter-joiner from the Kent/Sussex border on this very forum. Staunch leaver.
He was irked that his business model of overcharging customers for shoddy work was being undermined by EU craftsman delivering quality work for a a fair price. Go figure:)Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Yet foreign workers and students continue to flock to this oasis of xenophobia and latent racism in an otherwise tolerant continent in their droves.

I'll ask again. If the contribution represents good value then what exactly is the problem with a European Union that attempts to develop the economies of the poorer members?
To most people that would sound like a win-win.
It's quite an interesting one this but I find it hard to word it properly.
Some people see only us as part of Britain, and it's ok to take money from rich counties and spend it on poor ones.
Other people see us as part of the EU, and it's ok to take money from rich countries and spend it on poor ones.
What's the difference between these 2 groups? Does the former value which bit of land you are born on more than others? What's so great about a poor estate in Merseyside over a poor village in Slovakia? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. You're now asking a different question. However, last year we gave away over £13Bn in foreign aid.
I think that's sufficient on its own, don't you?If I don't reply to your post,

Complete nonsense. The money is taken from richer west EU countries and given to poorer east EU countries.
The costs of admin and dispute resolution is virtually zero.
EMA costs £25m/year alone. So it's a small percentage but still a big number. Some is spent on poorer economies but that's just part of the deal.0 -

We see the same on a national level where London and the South East pretty much subsidises deprived counties like Yorkshire and such.

Believe it or not the numbers of students are dropping and most foreign visitors who arrive aren't hoping to spend a lot of time with Brexit voters.0
