    Hi Wannabefree ,
Thanks for stopping by :). If you have any home Ed questions let me know and I'll try my best to help. I really enjoy home educating the DC. It's really rewarding helping them understand new learning topics and it's certainly helped me learn a thing or two! Will have a look to see if you've got a diary in a bit.

  • I've made sure I've come on my diary before 8 tonight, so that I actually get round to posting. After 8 I'm at serious risk of falling asleep on the sofa and therefore not posting!

Yesterday I paid £6 to CC3 and today I've paid £5. There aren't going to be any big additional payments this month, as DH hasn't done any extra days at work since Christmas. He's planning on a few hours tomorrow and next week, but the business needs to keep the money. I'm hoping that we'll be able to pay a bit more in february, as I'm finding it frustrating that I'm only £45 into my £15,000 debt repayment target.

Popped out to the shops today with the family to exchange the clothes DH bought me for Christmas. Think he was disappointed that I didn't like either of the things, but I can't help that! He bought things he'd like me to wear rather than things I'd feel comfortable in (eg. A short jumper which flashes a lot of stomach - I've had 3 kids and don't do anywhere near enough exercise to be able to get away with it!!). Managed to get a really lovely green pinafore dress and black top, so I'm really pleased :).

Hope everyone's had a good day.

  • Morning ,

DC3 didn't sleep brilliantly last night, so it's going to be a long day today. Hoping DH will swap her cotbed from the cot part to the bed either today or tomorrow, as think she's ready for it. It does worry me a lot swapping her into a bed, as when she wakes at night she stands up and I don't want her doing that in the bed in case she falls. That being said she could do with having a duvet and not the grobag she's in, as last night when in bed with us she kicked all the covers off and slept like that (me & DH were desperately scrambling to keep covered by a small part of duvet!)

The dd for CC4 has come out today (£130), so the balance is very close to being under £11k (£11,050). Looking forward to next month when it gets into the £10ks. I was half tempted to pay an extra £51 off, but as the 0% deal doesn't end until Oct 2020 I've restrained myself!

We don't have many plans at present for today (no groups), so I'm hoping to blitz the house a bit whilst the kids do some worksheets. I've printed out info on Ancient Greece, so need the kids to start work on their project. At the moment they are spending most days playing with their Harry Potter coding wands they got for Christmas. I don't understand coding and don't really understand why it now features quite heavily in schools, but the kids enjoy it and seem to understand it more than I do, so that's good :).

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Thanks Jwil & WannabeFree - hope you both had good days today.

I've had a fairly productive day today. Managed to blitz the kitchen and even wiped all the cupboard doors down. It looks so much nicer when the worktops are clear. The dishwasher has stopped leaking on its own, which is good news, although very surprising. I'm anticipating it breaking properly soon, so am going to research dishwashers just in case. Pulled out our corner sofa in the living room and vacuumed under it (after removing half a tonne of toys and an overdue kids library book I thought we'd lost forever!). I'm absolutely shattered today and so am already in bed! Going to watch the first episode of the Marie Kondo program on Netflix and then go to sleep (unless I fall asleep during, which is usually my form!).

  • Morning ,

I'm feeling pretty good today - had a fantastic nights sleep (8 hours of solid sleep, which is unheard of!!). I watched the first program of the Marie Kondo program last night and I can't wait to start looking through my clothes. I find it a bit odd though that you just pick the clothes up and she doesn't recommend trying them on, but I might give it a go her way first.

Money wise I've finished checking the bank accounts and have rounded down the balance sending £5 to CC3 and 76p to debt savings.

DH has got the day off today, so no idea what we'll do today. Hoping to spend a bit of time continuing the cleaning blitz I started yesterday - kitchen end of our kitchen/dining room looks lovely, but the dining room is fairly cluttered.
