Morning,
Yesterday I paid £10 to CC3, as we only had to pay for 1 swimming lesson not 2, as DC2 still wasn't well enough to swim. The DC have got their final tennis lesson of the year today, then all groups will be on a break for 2 weeks. I cannot wait! I'm feeling pretty drained at the moment and am looking forward to more chilled out days at home. Think the feeling drained feeling is partly due to the amount of clutter, especially in our bedroom. I'm really frustrated with myself that I STILL haven't managed to sort the house out. The amount of clutter in the house is really irritating me and I never seem to have time to make a proper dent in it.
Anyway, enough whinging! Today is a new day and I have plans to bake gingerbread men with the DC. We also need to make Shortbread to give as gifts to my siblings, but not sure how long they'll last after making them, so might have to do that Sunday.
Today I have paid £21 to CC3. I'm STILL waiting for a refund for the DC climbing sessions which were cancelled. Getting really fed up having to constantly chase them. Also feel I must look like a nagging pauper!LBM Aug 2017.

Hope you have a lovely break.
Have you read the Marie Kondo book? It's really helped me with the decluttering. You can do really small categories so just a little at a time."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi,
I started to read the book, but didn't get that far. The one thing I did manage to do from the book is change the way I put clothes away. The folding of clothes really has made a huge difference; we can put more in the drawers and actually see what is in there. I'll definitely have to start reading the book again, as need all the help I can get when it comes to decluttering!LBM Aug 2017.

Morning,
Yesterday I received a refund from The Entertainer for the Lego set I'd ordered. I'm glad to have the £20 refunded, but also annoyed at the company's lack of communication. Thank goodness I managed to find the same Lego set in Tesco last week, otherwise I'd be really stressed now. Anyway, I sent the £20 to CC3, as I'd already made the accounts balance, so was extra cash.
Today I've paid £50 to CC3. Tomorrow will most probably be my final pad until payday at the end of December. I'm really looking forward to the year end round up and comparison with last year. Feels like I've made progress this year on the debt front.
We're going to be making mince pies and some more shortbread biscuits today. Need to tidy up the house as well ready for the big day. DH is working for part of the day tomorrow, so we're hoping to get everything done today, so that tomorrow can be a relaxing day.LBM Aug 2017.

Look forward to your update as I reckon you must have done really well this year. Eek it's Christmas Eve
. I have 3 extremely excited children! Today we are having a day at home, watching Christmas films and doing a small amount of last minute tidying up/prepping food for tomorrow.
I've made my final pad until pay day this morning of £41. The fridge and freezer are well stocked, so I'm hoping there won't be any further spends until the new year.
:xmastree: Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas, filled with love, laughter and happiness. :xmastree:LBM Aug 2017.

Pay day today - hooray! I've paid £329 to CC3, so will do my monthly round up first and then an annual one.
Total debt at 28/12/18
CC1 - £0
CC2 - £0
CC3- £4,500
CC4 - £11,180
Total debt - £15,680.
(Total debt at 30/11/18 - £16,835.).
I've paid £1,155 off this month. Really pleased to be ending the year with the debt in the £15ks. I've paid £15,010 towards debt this year  , which is an astonishing amount. In theory If I can replicate these levels of debt repayment, then I could clear the personal debt by next year (not sure yet if this is doable or would be stretching us too far).
Will gather annual figures next..LBM Aug 2017.

2018 v 2017 debt roundup . 2017 figures in red.
CC1 - £0.00 £50.00
CC2 - £0.00. £6,971.60
CC3 - £4,500.00. £10,820.00
CC4 - £11,180.00. £12,740.00
Total debt - £15,680.00 £30,581.60
£14,901.60 difference between them. It differs from the £15,010 paid this year due to money/balance transfer fees on new business debt.
This time last year I never anticipated being able to clear this much debt. I am very hopeful that in the next 2 years we can finally be debt free (both personal and business debt).
So overall I think it has been a very successful debt busting year. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can achieve next year.

Expiry dates of 0% deals on CCs.
CC3 - £4,500 expires December 2019.
CC4 - £11,180 expires October 2020.
I wouldn't usually include DHs course CCs, but will today so I can compare at the end of next year. I don't include these in my monthly totals, as these are his business debts not our personal ones. I've just balance transferred one of DHs business CC debts, so they are now:
DH CC1 - £2,496.55 expires 1 July 2020
DH CC2 - £8,075.00 expires May 2019
Total £10,571.55.
Need to arrange for DH CC2 to be balance transferred before the 0% ends, as we won't be able to pay it off by then. Not sure if I need to arrange a 0% deal pre brexit to guarantee a 0% deal. Not sure how likely it is that 0% deals will disappear post brexit, but definitely don't want to go on to a standard interest rate. Will have a think and see what deals come up in our existing cards.
The amazing thing is that our total debt, including DH business debt is £26,251.55, which is still less than the debt at the end of 2017. That makes me feel a lot better about our debt position. It's still high, but is definitely going the right way.LBM Aug 2017.
