This is because as several people have tried telling you, the £250 switching incentive is long since finished.... regardless of which brand or which branch you visit.

It was piloted in Birmingham, then rolled out nationally, then pulled about a week later after they got inundated with switch requests.

Not correct.
You could still get £250 incentive if you are willing to travel to B Birmingham. That is what I was told directly from the B Birmingham two days ago.

I wish I could but as I mentioned it previously, I am not interested in £250 if I need to travel to Birmingham. I was unsuccessful from the previous application with YB and Clydesdale (not in Birmingham), a few years ago so there is good chance I will still not get accepted for a new account this time. Too much to chance and to lose for £250. It is local to me I will try again very little to loose.

Or If the reward is double, I will seriously consider traveling to Birmingham.

Anyway It is not available form Clydesdale or YB website though but it is still available from B Birmingham here

An like I mentioned previously I got information directly from B Birmingham two days ago.

If it was not available there is strong case to demand for compensation with at least similar amount with this incentive.

I know it's been reported before, but both Clydesdale (mine) & Yorkie Bank (OH) has failed to bring over DDs that have now passed their due date. One (not Tesco) failed to pay after attempting to debit the switched out ac.

And the Tesco one is still showing pointing towards that switched account.

Rather than have a battle about who coqd up, I've set up a couple to try to ensure I qualify without a squabble.

I seem to remember (from when I've switched Tesco DDs) that whilst it points to a name (nickname?), the sort code and account number behind it are for the new account? Perhaps you could check? Maybe you already have?

As mentioned before I have been told directly by B Birmingham 3 days ago the £250 offer was still available if you applied directly in Store.

Few people in this forum never think before casting sarcasm to other members.
Other possible motive is that they simply do not feel sincere if other people apply that will have effect on them.

Or are you saying this because you did not get your £250 or you did not want other people to apply thus adding the chance you would not get your £250 ???

Whatever your motive is I do not really care as anyone here could say whatever s/he wants without other people knowing what their actual motive is.

And even I decided to apply, I was not such as an idiot to let myself to be influenced by other people just to prove it to him/her without getting any gain / benefit.

Also if it is spelled out on online chatting, still advertised on their website and clearly mentioned on t&c, was there any chance they would deny it ???
